Hey everyone! (^_^)/ My name is Starr. I'm 18, just finished my first year of college, and I currently live in California. I'm learning Japanese, although I've only taken one semester so far.

Until very recently I was a strictly anime type of girl. But I've recently gotten into dramas. I've only seen a few (I've probably completed about five series) but already I'm addicted. Hopefully I can make a few new friends here while getting some good recommendations on what to watch next. I love school, slice of life, comedy ... above all, I like romance. So if you know anything that's got some good fluffy moments, I'd love it if you'd let me know.

hi guys.. im john.. im new here, i joined last jun22 and im happy to be here.. im an anime fan esp miyazaki's works and ive always had this fascination with the japanese culture.. one of my biggest dreams is to ac2ally go to japan and spend time with japanese women.. =) well, i got tired of anime and wondered hmmm maybe i should try these jdramas evrybody is talking about.. and so i did..
my first jdrama was gokusen and u can imagine on how big my crush is on nakama yukie.. =) she was so kawaiii but i didnt like the cheesy japanese acting of the cast.. like jun matsumuto, i didnt like him then.. the only one i liked was shun.. anyway, nakama yukie was there and so i finshed the series and i loved it!
so i thought "wow! this is better than shitty korean dramas on tv".. in fact it was a 100% enjoyable.. and i searched for more jdramas and then i found 1 liter of tears.. and i tell u, ive never cried so much in my entire life.. erika was soooooo amazing!
then i thought i should try the movies and i did.. i watched "be with you" and it blew me off.. all about lily chouchou blew me harder.. i watched awesome jmovies one after another like Space travelers, survive style +5, zatoichi, battle royal, hula girls, swing girls (ueno ), etc , etc etc...
right now im in love with ueno juri, haha!, and nodame is probably the best one that ive seen although i have not seen that many.. im really looking forward to watching awesome jdramas in the future like kekkon dekinai, orange days, pride, lunch no juoo, etc etc.. these dramas have impressed me so far..
currently im working so i dont have that much time for jdramas but ill make sure that i watch 1-2 epsodes of a drama per day..hopefully..
