hello, may i reply ?
hmmmm
i think maki has strange look, and i think in this dorama her strange look more exploited, and i don't know, i can't get it, i mean, i think she isn't look like preety boy, i still can see her girl face, and her hair looks strange, i agree with other fellas who wrote she wear wig.
o ya, my reply isn't offense, i just want to say her strange look has appeal, so, as a boy, i feel she is cute,
hope this dorama better than her previous dorama,
will she play some role in ouran ?
ouran has same idea like hana kimi, and i hope she doesn't take it. i think, she has to take different role, coz' it 's good for her acting, her acting will develop if she takes different role,
last i say sorry for all of maki's fan who feels i wrote an offense reply, i is just my opinion pal . _________________

I don't like her guy look ewwwww! no no no
Btw, I watched Maki's old tsubasa ep 2 days ago. It was really god and she looked pretty in it. I loved the Densha Otoko reference in there with all those crazy internet people talking to maki. But she "booted" them all out
i forgot to say that i'm also a fan of maki-chan.. that role she play in hana kimi.. i think ueto aya suits it better.. maki still have a girly face in the CM.. not convincing enough ?

hahahaha
there are so many opinion about her looks in this dorama, and i agree with fellas who wrote ueto aya suits better, yeah she has tomboy looks.
but i think she (maki) has to give her full acting capability in this dorama, coz' becoming boy for feminine girl is so hard, coz' we (boy) always do everything we want, like we always talk about girl from her sex appeal, and we always give vulgar joke (sometimes),
and i hope she can do it. _________________

Agreed by a fellow Aya fan! I guess they thought aya costs too much or aya has already done a lot of those roles.

I think Maki fits the role....because Mizuki suppose to be a girl who disguises as a boy but still looks like pretty. Just imagine,In hanakimi TW version for those who watched it already.I thought Ella would fit the role but I realize that Mizuki should look like a pretty boy who looks like a girl while Ella looks like a boy that disguises to be a girl JOKE!OK she looks like a BOY!Sorry for Ella fans out there.

I don't see anything wrong with Oguri shun's hair style...
He had one almost identical to this one before except apparently you are to used to seeing him with dyed hair. Is good to know he went back to his original hair color. Also this is just one angle in the picture, wait till you see that hair style from up close and front/back side, is pretty cool. _________________

i had a strong feeling that maki was wearing a wig during the first few days of filming hanakimi cause it coincides with her other drama seito shokun...so apparently she all ready had a hair cut for her role as mizuki...can anyone confirm when she had a hair cut? was her hair all ready short when she started filming hanakimi? cause i really think it was a wig...some pics:

I know everyone is anticipating this drama and therefore a lot of opinions are flying around on it, and here I am just adding another one into the mix:
I don't think Aya would have suited the role of Mizuki like Maki does and for one simple reason: she's past that point in her career. While I cannot claim any great knowledge of Aya (I'm not a fan, but I don't dislike her either), her most recent role was in Hotelier, as a grown up, correct? And when you look at her past work, there's been a natural progression. While she is certainly young enough to play up and down the age scale, she's been going toward more varied, mature roles as she gets older. She's already established herself as a popular talent.
Hana Kimi is going to be a light, fun summer comedy set in high school, and while I know a lot of fans are watching it because of the huge cute boy factor, I've always thought shows like Hana Kimi end up being star vehicles for the lone girl actress, because she has to compete against all that fangirl action working against her. It is also all about the heroine's journey, so I feel if you can't like or empathize with the lead actress, I don't care how much eye candy you throw at me, I'm just not that involved (and apologies for bringing in the inevitable Hana Yori Dango comparison, but Inoue Mao absolutely ruled that role, and if she wasn't the Makino that she was, I don't think HYD would have been as successful as it was, even with the combined star power of Matsujun and Oguri Shun behind her). That's why casting the lead actress is so important in shows like Hana Kimi, because she's kind of the guide for the show. Aya is just too mature for Mizuki, I feel, and Maki's relative age, combined with her just right face (read the manga, guys: practically every other line is someone commenting on how Mizuki has a girl's face, so yeah, I think she fits perfectly) and the timing in her career - it all fits.

Sorry if it's a bit tl;dr for you.
You Hit The Nail On The Head
I agree 100%. Now it all comes down to how well Maki can play that role _________________

i get what you mean.. i'm not a aya fan, but a maki fan. though i support her decision to play as mizuki, i still feel that she may not be able to bring out the inner feelings of her role as a 'guy'. she will not be that convincing. for aya, though she's tomboyish looking, but she has the sweet and demure look. aya's trying to change, but looks like i'm trying to tie her to this role. maki's sunshine-looking, so she will look very girlish among the boys. this anticipated drama sure looks interesting.
