For me, the most touching part wasn't Ken's speech. It was Rei recalling how Ken was there for her everytime. The flashback of the photos made her realized that Ken always cared for her. His way of caring for her always goes a big roundabout before reaching her. She found out that only at this point and was regretful for choosing not to accept him. She always thought that Ken never express his love for her but now she realized that she was wrong. Ken had did it many times. He kiss for her already tells alot about his feelings for her. He hinted her when he throw the water balloon at the can. He expressed his feeling when he hugged her from the back. He never gave up on her. She gave up on him and now she regretted that decision.

No, I wouldn't expect that. Because the lesson learnt from this drama, as being told by yosei to Rei is this: Even when a person (in this case Kenzou) time-travelled back to the past, he can't change himself. He himself will remain the same. So, instead of going back to the past, it will be better off if he starts thinking of the present and the future, and changing them.

i just thought rei could maybe go back to like before she gets married to tada ^^ or maybe after ken's speech. LOL.

Oh ya, one more thing: still, the sweetest thing in this drama--to me, haha you can object though--is how Ken turns out to be Kenzou by that repeated scene of eraser thingy.
Seriously I hope Rei would choose to go back to the past to prevent Tada from being so sad, imagine how embarass could it be for someone to get rejected untill the extreme end of not going to marry to him =( Tada is a nice guy too so I don't see a reason for making him to be so sad :|
Originally, I dont like open ending cuz I think that a drama should at least tell us STH ..to round up the whole story But not telling us to guess the message behind. HOWEVER, I do like the open ending in proposal. The message is quite clear. ( Ya..It would be much better if they get together. This is because I like yamap sooo much:P) Looking at the smile of Kenzo ...I know that they would hv end up together.
This is not a drama that follow the same route as other Love story, and this is what I want. I hv learned a lot from this drama.
Rei X Kenzo
this bz week! i give up my slping time because i realli cannot tahan already!!!! this epi was great! cos it turned out unexpected! hahaha! i used to think that the endin will be when ken fly back to present, he will be sitting at tada's seat but no! everything is still the same, she is still gona marry him and the other he is still an audience during the wedding! great! at least it came out unexpected... for me
i like it when ken says about the past, present and future. instead of changing the regretted past y not change the coming future? nice one! even though i expected something big to happen out of the small changes in the past, im still happy with the accumulated small changes in the past that changed the present greatly. haha! the msg from the director/scriptwrite/producer/whoever is clear and good. nice one to learn.
other learning points include:
when u din do it right the first time, where do u get the confidence from to be able to do it right the second time? [from the fairy to ken]
dun wait till tomorrow tomorrow and tomorrow. do it now! people who wait for tomorrows are STUPID! [from grandpa to ken]
opps, i forget 1 more. haha!
lastly, i expect a special!!! and since everybody is saying, i wana sae too.. the part where i like most is when young ken tells young rei that he will take care of her for life and young rei happily replied!
yes! the music is great great great! happy sharing this drama with every1 of u!!!

Don't know whether it's just me or sth. I started off siding kenzou, but ended up siding tada. He's really one nice guy, putting buttons in BOTH his hands so that rei will go talk to ken. I felt that it was really unfair to him, since kenzou was given the opportunity to go back in time to change so many things and also the opportunity to give his speech such that the slideshow made rei side ken instead of tada. With kenzou's insensitivity towards rei at first, tada definitely is a better choice for rei (and also more financially stable). Plus getting a wedding obstructed like that with another guy professing his love to your bride, making you bride cry and doubt her love for you, isn't something to feel good about at all. Tada had all the right to stop kenzou from saying all those stuff in HIS wedding, but he chose not to. I respect him for that.
Nevertheless, i used up at least 5 tissues throughout kenzou's speech.

although i do realize that kenzou and rei ending up together was what the drama was ultimately leading up to, i still feel that tada-sensei deserved rei as much as, or even more than, kenzou. in my opinion, both tada-sensei and kenzou had somewhat similar situations. they were both presented with chances with rei. the difference is, tada-sensei chose to let his feelings out there while kenzou let them pass him by. i was thinking in the middle of the whole series, that i would be fine if rei and tada-sensei eventually ended up together since at least kenzou would've tried and exhausted all means. towards the end, i guess i still felt a bit cheated for tada-sensei.
anyway, i did like that part when kenzou was giving his speech. for me, it was the bravest, most straightforward thing he could've done. it made me feel that indeed, kenzou had gained a valuable lesson from all his time-slips. i saw a kenzou who was willing to be honest and face the truth. i saw acceptance. and so when he wished for rei's happiness, i wished for his happiness as well. his smile at the end of the epi said it all, i spose.

that speech.. he's so brave.. i cried like never before.
If both won't do something abt the problem, somebody else has to and thats Tada-san. I knew he put both buttons in his two hands and I think he is thinking that he can make Rei happy but Ken will make her happy more.
Did anybody miss out the final scene after the ending credits? You see Ken pushing the already break down taxi and you will hear Rei calling him out 'Kenzo! Kenzo!' from afar. She stopped calling him Kenzo but now she is back to who she is before.
I expect that there would be a kiss in the end.. aw..

There's gotta be a special to tidy it off right? A series this big...being left off like that? Not a bad ending, but when you consider the images in the intro song, you would think they would be leading up to something like that...

the ending was kinda abrupt.. i think? even tho i really like them together.. but i feel so so so so sad for tada-san.. poor poor fella.. i kind of expected he'll cheat by putting 2 buttons on both hands haha...
I just finished this series as well, and hope there will be a special as well!!!
I had one question - my Japanese isn't so good, but the very last frame (after the last scene) goes to a white screen with some writing on the bottom. Did anyone catch what that was? I am assuming it was "The End" or something along those lines, but I just wanted to make sure since it wasn't subtitled...[/img]

Most of the folks are hoping for a special or some sort of closure or something...It just goes to show that the series really had a bad ending! nuff said!
