Finished epi 2. Heavy drugs will be needed to make sense of it all. I dunno how many more panty-shots I can take.

My sis said that he's only hardcore in the first four episodes, but he mellows out when the story starts to revolve around her and her work. Miho's in this drama too. _________________

jeez....he's a totally f*cker. he takes being overprotectiveness to a creepy level.
Oh my. I'm more than happy to "bash" Aya Ueto as an actress.
I first saw her in one of the Kinpachi Sensei series, and I thought she had tremendous potential. Cute, yeah, sure. But she also showed some real talent.
Then I saw her in "Perfect Bride". A favorite show of mine... but she pretty much just walked through her supporting role.
Then is saw her in:
My Little Chef. A lousy show.
Hitonatsu no Papa e. A lousy show.
Ace wo Nerae. A lousy show.
Yoshitsune. A lousy show.
Hotelier. A show so bad I couldn't bring myself to watch a second episode.
There's a pattern emerging there, and after a while, even I saw it.
It took a while, but through hard work, and sticktoittiveness, Aya Ueto earned her place on my "Avoid at all Costs" list along with other such luminaries as Fukada Kyoko and Fujiwara Norika.

LOL.
Can you repost this in the Aya thread????
Haha, ditto that.
So judging by others' opinions, Attention Please is supposedly good then? I may try to check it out, but I am definitely not going to spend money or waste my time downloading it. And it's not really up there on my list of dramas to get. ...Maybe I'll take your word for it, guys.
In drama watching news, I'm just going to decide what to watch by doing the "eeny meeny miney mo" way. _________________

if you're going to download it you have to get it from the jpopsuki tracker...the subbed episodes by kioku aren't available on d-addicts.

I finished watching the "Making Of" for the Sailormoon series and the first episode. I think I've just entered the twilight zone.
Wynter, I'm a little surprised you're watching this, but welcome on board...this is one of my favorites...
yeah I know, it's silly, strange, childish, dumb and all those other things, but it's also highly engaging (I lost count of all the people who disliked it at first, but kept watching and then claimed they were addicted)...
PLEASE don't give up too soon on this one...at least watch until all the sailor senshi are assembled...
and then come to the thread for PGSM...it started when the show was originally broadcast back in 2003 & died in 2005..I revived it about a year ago and a lot of other folks started posting...we had a lot of fun...now it's dead again...we could use your input...

I actually was anticipating this rant from you. Pride is one of those dramas I love to hate so I was cringing a bit when I saw people recommending it to you. As far as romantic comedies by Kimura it's beyond me that people would recommend Pride over Long Vacation but I guess that is because LV is kinda old?
Like I said before, do check out Sora Kara if you can. I think it is more in tune to the kind of dramas you enjoy. I've never been a big romcom fan myself so dramas like Pride and even LV (even though it is better than Pride in ever way possible imo) never end up leaving a big impression on me.
Finally watching Sora Kara ... currently episode 3. Indeed, much more to my liking. A more toned down performance by Kimura, yet ... let me put it that way: ILll be never having a screensaver with his face on it.

All I can say about PGSM is hang in there. Yes, it is severely annoying at first, primarily because the thing is trying too much to rip itself off from the original material of the manga, making it take too many comparisons. However, by the time it gets to the second season point (I think that's around Act 15-20, haven't watched it in a year so I don't remember), the series REALLY takes off and brings out its own storyline.
Honestly, PGSM has my favorite spin on the SM universe, and I won't spoil anything, but needless to say it's ingenious how they pull things off by the end of the series.
Also, I'd recommend watching the musical...if only for the part where the Shitennou are dealing with the crowd (hell, don't bother with the rest, just watch that part!).
STILL trying to get back into Ushi ni Negai wo to continue on Episode 2. Out of the multiple ones that I've been watching this year, this one has been the hardest to get back into it, and it's not that I'm avoiding it, I'm just scrambling for time, lol! (did the same for Papa to Musume, and love that show)
So I guess you're going to put kkk2003 on the backburner? I shoulda sent you Attention Please instead.

I've never given up on a drama, so no worries there.

Alrighty, I'll try to revive it. It's a really... erm... younger-aged drama, but it still reminds me of my childhood, so I wouldn't be surprised if I do start to enjoy it. Lets just hope the fight-scenes imrpove.

Wow... I didn't know PGSM had so many fans! _________________
Um, is the name of that site trying to tell me something?
I don't know about anyone else but that made me burst out laughing! Don't worry, I'm right there with you on the Ueto Aya can't act bandwagon. I really tried to like her in Attention Please as well but it just didn't happen.
I just finished From The Heart last night. Starting watching it due to some good reviews (I'm always interested in watching a drama that people consider there favorite so you had a big part in me watching that one cori =P). I enjoyed how the love story was executed, very subtle yet still manages to be pretty moving. I'll try and write a review one of these days...
@EstherM - Glad you're liking Sora Kara. I completely understand where your coming from, Kimura is one of those guys people either seem to love or hate.
