Have you seen that already? Maybe it's just my opinion, but that was a stinker. Sad

After summer is up, I may go back and watch SVnR. I've heard so many people watching it and liking it, there's gotta be somethin about it. Maybe during the slower Fall/Winter season.

Sexy Voice & Robo is good.. its really, really good. The acting is superb, there's crack in abundance & I love the messages inserted in each episode. Recommended to those who enjoyed Kisarazu Cat's Eye, IWGP, Nobuta wo Produce (without the pop bubblegum feel) and Akihabara@DEEP

Bambino! ep9..
Its really good. Jun improved alot.

Watched Ushi Ni 3 last night, First Kiss 3 tonight. Both of them are going in interesting directions as their plots progress. I hope to stay on top of them like all the others (can't wait for a new Papa to Musume this weekend!). Ushi Ni in particular is getting extremely interesting on the whole "modern vs old school" debates that plague even present-day farming.

Kinda sad that the softsubber for First Kiss bailed though; I prefer softsubs over the hardsubs that SARS is only releasing for the show. Show's still hot in my eyes too.

EDIT: GAH!! >_< The person who was subbing Papa to Musume dropped their plans on finishing the series as well, getting out of the translation business altogether. Won't complain too heartily about it, but that definitely sucks, and it would REALLY disappoint me if it didn't get picked up, the show was definitely great so far.

That's lame for any drama to get partly subbed then dropped suddenly... Sweat

What a great option!

And not for nothin' but... I think one of the main reasons I love Shomuni so much is that I spaced the shows out when I watched them. I didn't want to, it's just the way it worked out. I saw Shomuni 2 first on the local Asian TV station. A year later I found a copy of Shomuni 1 on ebay. And a year after that I stumbled upon jdorama.com and found out there was a Shomuni 3. The time between kept me from getting Shomuni'ed out.

Geezer, that's kinda what gaijinmark said about Shomuni too - better to space them out. Big Grin

By the way... If you like Odoru Daisousassen, the series was followed by two blockbuster theatrical movies, and at least a half dozen specials. The movies go by the "Bayside Shakedown" title in the U.S.

I found out about the Bayside Shakedown title from my drama book.
I'm not sure what a "shakedown" is. Nut

A shakedown is an extortion scheme, an attempt to obtain usually money from another in a dishonest way.

In addition to Bayside Shakedown, I've also seen Odoru Daisousassen referred to in English as Rhythm and Police.

There's actually been four theatrical movies of the Odoru Daisousassen franchise. Only the first two included Odoru Daisousassen in the title: these two films starred the complete original cast from the TV series and were huge hits. The next two movies tried a different tack, taking only one specific character from the series and developing a movie around him. There were a couple of very brief cameo appearances from some of the other characters, but these last two movies were not as successful as the first two, primarily because the ensemble cast which made this franchise so special was virtually absent.

Finished HYD. At first it was a little draggy and I was close to skipping it. But I'm glad I stuck with it. About half way thru I found myself fascinated with it. I was sorry to finish it. I must have some latent teen age high school blood in my system. I had no trouble identifying with the high school hi jinx and emotions. There is a certain freshness to this drama that is refreshing (pardon the double entendre) and entertaining to watch.

I'm looking forward to HYD2. Yippeeee... w00t! w00t! w00t!

Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! Episode 1.

At the risk of sounding like a fanboy, Nakama Yukie is really cute in this. She should definitely stick to comedy Smile The first ep definitely laid out the path for the series.. I can see where it's going already. And once again, Hamada Mari is a scene stealer Smile
