"Hana Yori Dango" movie to open next summer

Fans of the "Hana Yori Dango" drama series will get one more chance to see the cast in action, as a movie has been announced for the summer of 2008. Titled "Hana Yori Dango Final," the film is being described as the last chapter of the live-action adaptation.

This will be Mao Inoue's first starring role in a movie. Jun Matsumoto, Shun Oguri, Shota Matsuda, and Tsuyoshi Abe will reprise their roles as the group known as "F4."

The film is set one year after Tsukushi Makino's graduation. The story focuses on a major incident that the five main characters become involved in, while also depicting the ups and downs of Tsukushi and Tsukasa's relationship.

Filming is scheduled to take place overseas for about two months, starting in January. The series' director Yasuharu Ishii will helm the picture. The story is currently being developed by the original mangaka Yoko Kamio and the series' screenwriter Mikio Satake (actor Takayuki Takuma).

hi everyone!! i haven't been here for so lonnnnng!! stupid job...i worked every single day of the summer and now it's over!! and this wednesday starting college! eeek! goddness gracious. too fast. but i've kept in track with hana kimi!! he looks sooooooooooo good! yay! lots of my friends fell in love with toma's silliness. he is quite adorable. and he looks sorta mixed. maybe 'cause of the bleached hair.

hahaha shun-aya. i was wondering the same thing...usually they go from manga-->anime--->series---->movie. i'd be looking forward towards the anime. love the storyline. its so unique!

and oh my god...hana kimi has sooooooooo much boy-on-boy action. hahahaha they really should interview shun and have the first question to be like....hmmm...how was it to kiss men? who was the best kisser? do you like the feeling? LOOOOL

that is so true!!! shun kissed more men than girls (mizuki of course) in the drama...

yeah. haha. that's the funny part. i personally liked shirota yuu and oguri shun. they have different "kawaii-ness" and hottness. i just can't believe that one day, they'll kiss each other.

I love his look in Hana Kimi and those tender moments between Sano and Mizuki.

Yeah there's a lot of fanservice in Hana Kimi, and a lot of kissing going on between boys. Love it.
