Btw, I have 2 .dat files that are about 650MB. I was wondering, can I copy BOTH .dat files onto a cd-r and still be able to play it on DVD player? Or does VCD format only allow ONE .dat file on each cd-r? |
VCDs can hold as many tracks as it can. The limit is actually the size of the tracks, which is 700MB total. Looking at two 650MB files, that's 1300MB. What I'd do is rip the files down even more (maybe lower the speed or number of frames/sec) so it's about 350MB each. You'd need to use a tool like TMPGEnc to do the ripping. You could possibly fit up to 800MB of data onto a 700MB VCD, but that's purely on a trial/error basis.

After I finish copying, with the 2 .dat files on the same cd-r, will I be able to play it on a DVD player? |
Oh! Gotcha! It really depends on the DVD player. My older SONY DVD player would not. And also my $89.00 DVD/VCR combo does not play VCDs, even though it's less than 5 months old. So it really depends on the make/model, and you can't make any assumptions (age of the player, make, etc.) You must research it (good resource is www.dvdrhelp.com).

"take the file.bin and file.cue from file.rar, burn the file.bin to a blank CD-R. You do this by using either Disc Juggler or Nero and load the file.cue. Once you have the disc burned, pop your new disc in your DVDplayer. The DVDplayer will then request that you put in a "UT_2000" cd. This is any of your DVDs. Enjoy!"
ok beign a total dork at burning stuff... ok i have nero and i open it the wizard pops up.. so here is my question.... how do I 'load' the file.cue file? and how do i make it burn the file.bin data???!?!?!... i've tried and tried.. but does any 1 have any ideas? ... i really need help burning this disc thank you very much for ur time.... |
