just finished all 23 episodes of Ergo Proxy

8/10

i haven't seen Ghost in the Shell yet, but this is the only cyberpunk anime i know besides GitS, and i'm pretty much sure this can stand against it.

Ergo Proxy is a freakin 'smart' anime. full of psychological and phylosophical issues with a little politics. at first i didn't unserstand the story at all, but it was very addicting. i really enjoyed the progress and how the story turned out. there wasn't much character devopment for Ri-L, which was a bit dissapointing, but i love how Vincent Law gained 'himself'. A very depressing anime indeed. And that's probably why the creator created the character Pino. too bad the last 5 episodes was kinda weird.

This isn't a romantic teenage or highschool or childish adventure 'bleach' type where it's always about trying to save 'the people that are important to you' stuff with a little love in the air, so this might be really boring for some people. but i enjoyed the hell out of it. and recommending it to you guys Big Grin

it was kinda surprising. the whole thing was just

So i finally am caught up on all the Claymore eps... just watched ep 22. I see how many people say that mangas are almost always better. The story deviates ep 19-20, and since they're ending it at 26, and since

i can already see a cheesey ending.

Not that im very upset with this, considering many of the side stories aren't included and the manga isn't even finished yet...

maybe i shouldn't have read the manga first... i'd probably enjoy the last episodes more.

What's your best anime purchase of all time?...just bragging here...

I bought all 6 Excel Saga DVDs from a guy on ebay for $50...amazingly, I was the only bidder...even more amazing was the seller had taken the whole set to an animecon in Chicago and got the English VA for Hyatt, Monica Rial to autograph each box...plus she added cute little comments on each box...FTW!!!

That's a matter of preference. I liked H&C II slightly more, and according to AniDB it is also higher rated. So generally H&C II is more appreciated.
