Not unlike Musha's Parmesano Reggiano Risotto... Beaten

But the risotto is considerably more satisfying overall.

Now the right place to ask...
Does anyone can recommend me a good dorama...
Not a very 'heavy' one

Dorama like Nodame will be very fine...That should be comedy right???
Or perhaps dorama like Dragonzakura...
Not to mention the Proposal Daisakusen...
Oh, and please recommend only the 2000's dorama...
Leaping from the 2004-now...

Thank you...

I am looking for an everyday life drama. Nothing really with a plot, or something that doesn't focus on one specific subject. Just easy going. maybe a school drama.

It's difficult to find a drama with no specific plot, in any genre. Nevertheless I have the following suggestions:

[Everyday life dramas]
- Home Drama
- Otousan
- Oyaji
- Fuufudou
- Brother Beat

[School dramas]
- Dragonzakura
- Nobuta wo Produce
- Nodame Cantabile

Hi there

Can i ask any of you to recommend me some good drama knowing that the ones that i enjoy the most usually deal with some broader social issues. So these are my favs:

Kimi ha petto
nobuta wo produce
kekkon dekinai otoko
Densha
gokusen
hana yori

Here are the ones i've also checked but didn't like nearly as much as the ones mentioned above: Kisarazu, Ichi rittoru, Boku dake no madonna, beautiful life, my boss, attention please, ikebukuro.

Thanks in advance.

What are some of the non-romance focused drama? Doesn't have to be heavy, but heavy is fine. No tear jerkers though, i've cried too much for ichi ritoru no namida. I love Little Chef, Iryu, Kuitan.. Smile

Koi ni Ochitara is really good, IMO... Though there's a little bit of romance, but that's not the main focus of the drama. Smile

No tears needed, no anti-climax for the following dramas:

Hotaru no Hikari - romance, comedy. manga-based. i dunno why is this so under-rated.

Yama Onna Kabe Onna - comedy. manga-based. no recommended if you are Fukuda-allergic. romance ? no idea. Almost end of the show, and I dun know who is the male lead.

Double Score - police and thief. no romance but very funny all the way.

Midnight Rain - no romance. mystery. cool like Iryu

Papa to Musume no Nanokakan & Hanayome to Papa - Father and child drama , very funny. I don't find anything romantic in Hanayome to Papa. The papa stole the show and i can't even remember who played the boyfriend....

Bengoshi no Kuzu - under-rated lawyer drama. no romance. Funny, not too heavy. very witty.

Heavy topics, not to be watched with potato chips in hand:

Karei naru Ichizoku - power struggle, equivalent to Shiroi Kyoto
Tsubasa No Oreta Tenshitachi - one story to one chapter. my favourite so far because it's realistic. About women.

Yonimo Kimyouna Monogatari series - something like twilight zone.

Nodame and Proposal Daisakusen are two of my favorites as well. If you haven't already seen them, I'd recommend:

Hana Yori Dango (both seasons)
Last Christmas
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (still airing, but this week is the last ep)
Kekkon Dekinai Otoko

I'd also recommend the following, but these would probably be considered a little on the "heavier" side:

Orange Days
It Started with a Kiss (TW Drama)

hehehe. I dont have a tape backup. I am slowly burning shows to DVD so I dont lose them but it takes a while as I like to design the face of the DVD and print them (my printer has a slot to put in those printable surface DVDs). Lightscribe sucks and takes even longer Sad
I DID however buy a new Draft N 2.0 router with a gigabit switch in it so I can stream them to my HTPC and play them on my bigscreen Big Grin This is why I am liking the trend of people torrenting the higher rez versions with softsubs.

I'm just saying that being too leisurely about backing up everything could be disastrous...

Of course, people never learn until it happens to them... I know first hand. Sweat

could anyone recommend some tearjerking series?
where we could be taught and learned many things from it..

I know it's a bit outdated, but I just finished watching ichi ritoru no namida.. and now starting to watch taiyou no uta..
I like them both so much, so touching and sad..

so I wonder if there are any other series like that..
excluding ordinary romance series (like most of kdramas out there) if possible Mr Green
