huh I found it hyper cute LoL really Mizuki style akak
Lol, it was hyper cute but didn't really fit the bill for an American. But, it's not like someone from Japan would know what she should be dressing like anyway so I guess that's why they didn't give it much thought.

Yes but Mizuki's family has been in California for at least a few years (i dont know exactly how long) so by then she should have some American fasion sense _________________
Oooo, I didn't even think about that. Now, I didn't look that hard but her clothes didn't look didn't look that Japanese. I kind of thought it had a bit of a European feel to them, but you would know better than I since you live there. But I guess the consensus is that they weren't American really at all.

You would think so, but maybe they are just really stubborn
Lol, leave it to fans like us to analyze something as small as the clothes they were wearing for 30 seconds.

I live in Southern California, and considering that they moved Mizuki's family from Northern California (I believe the manga based her in Berkeley) to Southern California (and incidentally in the Anaheim/Fullerton area) I would say her look is actually not that all unexpected for a girl who comes from an affluent family, who is say, 17-18 years of age with access to a mall or just teen Vogue. You could easily find clothes like her outfit in Forever 21, Express, and all the numerous mini-stores within Japanese/Asian supermarkets, where there is definitely a bent toward more "European" looking style.
It's not the stereotypical surfer/Roxy/Quiksilver beach gear that some people would assume of California, that's for sure.
I think it was just a nod to her return to being a 'girl' again and the contrast between that outfit and all her 'boy' clothes.
I hope what I say will not offend anyone, just my opinion. I've been in America before (1 year ago) & in California (yea like Mizuki ), and I noticed how American's fashion is somehow.. uhm, simple or very simple ? I had a feeling that they dun't really care about their clothes when they go out, well except for a party or an event. And in France, I can say, they do care, sometimes little over necessary

Well the zoomed out soooo much that it was kinda hard not to analyze that fashion nightmare. I will say that if that becomes popular, I will puke. Even though Im not much into fashion I will say that that was HIDEOUS (sp? ) _________________

You're not offending anyone, fashion in American really really depends where you go. Say if you're in like LA or NYC then people always dress up since those are places to be seen. Anywhere else, people dont care as much since it's not that big of a deal for them and also Americans do a lot of driving and not walking to places so I believe that's another reason why.

I agree 100% It definetly depends on the city and even which part of the city you are in. I know unless I am going out for a special reason jeans and a shirt are comfy for me. If I am in my "get a guy" mood I will wear something more sexy _________________

He's also quite a singer and dancer. =D One of the videos I found of him singing, he sounded so good! He multi talented! Wish I could be multi! Lol
I saw a video of where he was singing in english. He must REALLY like to talk in english because he incorprates it into most of his dramas and music. I barely recognized that he was on HYD. He looks soooo much different in Hana kimi. I also saw him in Akihibara@deep _________________

Me too. One person I miss the most is Nanba-senpai. He looked soooo cute in the last episode in their Sakura Committee outfits _________________
