Anyway... I didn't know Kimura was Pusan for PIFF 2007 till my friend told me yesterday. He would have looked even better if he was clean shaven...

thank you champagne you took the words right out of my mouth. celebs like kimura and shizuka or anyone for that matter are entitled to happiness and their personal lives is private. i am so happy that my idol has a happy marriage life which is so precious considering how many are divorcing now a days. it is truly amiracle to be thankful for. love is a gamble and so far kimura and shizuka are winning.

i work in a japanese firm, there are few young female colleagues (actually not young anymore, about 28 -31 years old) they are crazy fans of kimura san when they were in japan. we used to discuss about him during lunch times. 1 of them cried when he announced his marraige to shizuka, she will say bad things about her infront of me, show me the bad press report they got from japan, she can be so naive and crazy that she put a bad cross on her face, poke her face ..etc. the poster is just right infront of her desk.

she got married 4 years ago and is now pregnant with her 2nd baby. she laughed at herself whenever we brought up this topic to her.

She admitted actually is her jealousy that make her canot accept shizuka. it was never an issue with kimura and kaori together but it was such a BIG ISSUE with shizuka because shizuka was pregnant with kimura's baby means they do make love, kimura actually hugged shizuka in the sleep....etc. whenever she thinks of all these, she just go mad. she cannot accept kimura sleep wiht another woman.......

funny right? maybe this is the reason why so many women hated shizuka.

i do pity her, to be Mrs Kimura is not an easy role, she was not allowed to be seen in the public with her husband, she is not allow to talk about his husband to the press. In 1 of her interview, there was a reporter from HK asked about her husband, she replied in english "Please do not ask about my husband"

I think she can only talk about him or on the stage with him 5 -10 years later when kimura is no longer the super star in japan, by that time his fans should have grow up just like my japanese colleague.

Really thanks this forum which allowed me to pen my thoughts. All these years i rely on my japanese colleagues in singapore and japan to supply me all those news about kimura san. Even my boss will always remember to bring back latest mag about him and his family when he go back to japan. i have so many sealed cartons of mag from hong kong, taiwan and japan and vcd in my storeroom which my husband had been asking me to dispose, i will keep them and show to my children and tell them this is mummy' dream lover...

Anyway thanks for reading my irritating posts, it make my days to post my thoughts here.

champagne i think you should read some of those posts by other members because some of them really agree with you!

i agree that most fans hate shizuka only because she's his wife. while i don't doubt that some fans just honestly don't like her because of her personality, i feel that it's mostly because of her husband. like i said earlier, even if it were somebody liked by fans like matsu takako or even tu_triky's candidate shingo, if they're involved with kimura romantically fans will start hating them.

i wonder how long shizuka's gonna have to wait for kimura's star to dim.

but on another note, when are we going to get our next smap drama? i know they're all focused on movies but i want them to appear weekly as a new character for 10-12 weeks! i mean, dramas are seriously declining in quality lately so at least give ma smap member to watch. but not kimura, even though i always like his dramas. if i were to rate them in order of who i want to see most in a drama it'll be

1. nakai 2. goro 3. tsuyoshi 4. kimura 5. shingo

nakai's always talking about how he wants to do a drama so he should go out there and get one already!

shizuka is totally different, she does not have much of a typical japanese woman should have character. she never bother to augue back when the press write bad about her, she do whatever she likes , the press can continue writtng what they like. She dun bother to say whether those stories are right or wrong.

maybe due to her family background, she is the sole breadwinner for her parents, she has built up a strong character.

I think some Takuya fan girls might think that way about Shizuka but I don't think Japanese men do. Kudo Shizuka was the "It" girl in the 80's and early 90's. She was thought of as the ideal dream girl back then as were most Oyanko Club members.

Question for Oyabin: How do typical (non-Smappies) Japanese view Kudo Shizuka? I always thought she had a fairly good reputation. Does she have a bad rep like Matsuda Seiko?

simone, yes i was really lucky to know smap san when he was still not that big. i came to know about him from my japanese colleagues. They were crazy fans of him, most of our topics is always about kimura san.

We watch him grew from a young boy to a father of 2 now.
