I usually just ignore these kind of posts, but this time I can't. People like you don't deserve to go to Japan. There are lots of youngsters out there who would love to go to Japan because of all the great things it has to offer but they don't have the money for it. Maybe you are just a very ignorant person that doesn't want to know anything about Japan and is just obsessed by a childish looking girls band that actually makes terrible music but hey...they look cute ! There's actually one thing that bothers me a bit; the fact that anyone can make it as a singer in Japan if only you have the looks..

Nice post. I agree with about half of it. But disagree on the other half enough to make a suggestion and a comment.

First off, AKB48 does not make terrible music. Check out Bingo! and Sakura no Hanbiratachi. If you like those, get a little more adventurous and give a listen/watch to Seifuku ga Jama wo Suru. If you like those, you'll probably dig most or all of AKB48's songs and PV's. Which reminds me, AKB48's PV's are awesome. Give'em a shot! Hopefully you'll be back in this thread as an AKB48 fan. Thumbsup

Your "fact" about anyone that's good looking can make it as a singer is incorrect. AKB48 and Morning Musume carry out long running auditions. Tens of thousands of pretty girls try out for the groups and teams. The Wikipedias on the net have the numbers of girls trying out for the elite and prestigious Morning Musume and the hard hitting AKB48. Very few make it. Victory! Peace!

Had wanted to post a picture of that booklet that came in the BLT, but the camera went to the Akimatsuri today. Will maybe post it later along with pictures from the festival in an appropriate thread.

Anyway I'm not going to start a riot here on the internet and ofcourse you are free to do whatever you want in Japan.

in defense of Hanzo21, and this thread i have created and please keep your negative comments to yourself, and please do not be so quick to judge, AKB48 is a group of fine girls with loads of talent. This thread is not for such negative connotations, but for commending them, and i provide that information thanks and credit to Kyobu and the rest of the mod's at stage48.net

and in terms of Japan, it is much more than just AKB48, of course, but i've been there enough times to have some idea what Japan is like and i have the pictures to show for it. I am just celebrating AKB48 as it is.

@Hanzo21, as you were saying...about the trip

and i do concur, the fact that they do run auditions of thousands of girls, and AKB has carefully selected members based on talent, and what they feel is suffice to make it in as a member. These girls, what we do not see or clearly understand, is what hard work and determination, besides looking pretty, day in and day out, that show in their performances. They love what they do, and that is awesome! So in essense, it is not pure prettiness alone that you will get you in, which is the misconception, but a whole list of things, which comprise of talent, which each member clearly has.

my BLT mag's the one i bidded for and won to purchase, did not come with a photo, i think those BLT's are regular ones, i would like to get on of those special ones with the photo. looking forward to the scans.

Nice pick ups!

What are you doing with all your new AKB48 collectibles? Do you have a big pin-up board?

i have them packed up, in plastic, cause i don't want them out to get dust on it, i have a few in my display case...i should post a pix up here, i have it up on the other forum.

i plan on putting all my GETS! AKB BLT photos i bid and won, in a photoalbum, where it is easy to view, and protected from dust.

I can't wait for this one to arrive at crescent, then i will make some more bids, and collect it for my next ship out to me, when ready.
Mariko-sama, 2600 yen, and ended up costing me close to $36 USD just for this photo alone, after all the extra crescent fees, etc...

You know, that's been heard a couple times. Acchan, of course, is the best of the best. But you'll end up knowing all of them. Miichan, Tomochin, Erepin, Kaya-P, Haruna, etc. All cool. Bonk

BTW, what is it that you like about Acchan so much?

Oh yeah, the AKB48 thread at JPH!P is pretty cool. And you know about the thread at Hello-Online, right?

i am sure there is some akb48 threads on JPH!P, and maybe on H!O, but i am biased, and i think nothing beats Stage48.net, that is the one to be at if you are a big fan of AKB48, i am always on there, and the top poster.
Acchan is one of AKB's finest and top popular girls, just check out her Yahoo Auction bid photos if you don't believe me...lol, i know you do, Hanzo, she is your favorite, but her bid photos are sometimes 10,000 yen or more! for her autographed BLT photos.

Yeah, you're correct in that Stage48 is the best. But it's a more than just a little bit intimidating. Stage48 has a lot of real hardcore fans. Fans that got to shake hands with members. Fans that have seen shows. Fans that know what's going on right now. It's hard to contribute anything of value there since everyone already knows the latest scoop.

But it sure is a great place to read up on AKB48 and check out the concert reviews and see the latest pictures. Bonk

i think you should post and contribute more, there are a lot of threads, even threads i created, which is not very many. I post whatevers on my mind, and i do add my experiences and a lot on the shipping thread, since i bid a lot and order sometimes. People are friendly, despite the cliques you do find anywhere in any communities, online or offline, but you should still post more, and visit more often. It is a great place, and i post atleast 15 to 20 posts per day on avg. It shouldn't be intimidating for you, afterall we are all AKB48 fans, regardless if you met or seen any AKB members or concert shows. It's just a great place for everyone! I hope to see you there more often, and post in my threads and other ones too.

I'm currently bidding some Tanamin(Miku Tanabe Team B), and Harunyan photo, but she is quite popular and i will have to try hard to win her photos on the yahoo auctions.

Been thinking about this for a couple days. What did you mean by 'dark side'?

Sure some of thier songs like Namida uri no shoujo and the Seifuku PV are about Enjo Kosai. And, Kinjirareta futari is about same gender love. The lyrics to My Dear Teacher is pretty interesting.

But they also have a lot of lovely and fun songs too. Like Sakura no Hanabira Tachi, Nagisa no Cherry, MARIA. etc.

So, just wondering if you meant 'dark side' as in the topics they sing about? Or just the mere fact that AKB48 isn't an H!P affiliated group? Or something else?

Just curios... Head Scratch

you should go for their concert videos, and AKB48+10 videos, both the Team B and the other one with the Team A girls...

BLT GETS! more to follow, maybe.
