After listening to Hurry Xmas, all I can thought was..."WOW..now that's a surprise." I didn't expect the song to be a swing track in big band style since some people have mentioned it as poppy, which is everything but IMO. They pulled it off in bringing a merry, festivity feel to the song. Something that puts you in the mood for christmas holiday. The music isn't something unusual were it found in DORLIS or Shiina Ringo's album since both artists have featured jazz/swing numbers in their releases, but this is L'Arc! So I'm very surprised.
I dare say hyde's voice isn't the most suitable for this kinda song, character-wise. Nevertheless I truly appreciate them trying out different genres. This makes KISS a really interesting album since it has a lot to offer.
I'm a bit disappointed that SHINE and Bye Bye aren't included in the track list though. I think Hurry Xmas is more fitting if it exists solely as a holiday special single rather than having it in an album that's released only 2 weeks after. Yet this gives us hope that there's something we can look forward to next year. _________________

Actully i thought that Hydes voice really suited Hurry Xmas and the swing style.
Anyway, I was just watching the Cloustra phobia PV, it dates back to when Hero and Pero where still in the band and i noticed something (can't believe i didn't see it before now ) Hydes name is spelt HIDE, with an I not a Y, I always thought that it had been spelt the same way, I'm guessing it was changed becouse of HIDE RIP, In X Japan, but does anyone know at what point in the bands career it was changed?

Where did you find/see Claustrophobia PV? I have never seen it!

monta, you should try Veoh they have nearly every Laruku PV plus loads and loads of other stuff, you have to download Veoh TV and join but its free and well worth it and if you search you will find them in good qulity, just check the file size next to the screen

i have and couldn't find one with a good quality... there are a lot of Laruku stuff but i only found like 3 Hitomi no Juunin (and yes, i've tried with Jyuunin) PVs. and the quality is not quiet good

Question. When did Pero leave the group and Sakura join, becouse in really early videos such as As if in a dream, it doesn't look like Sakura is drumming and i noticed this in some really early pictures

i recently got addicted to larc and i admit i don't know much about this band and i'm trying to catch up with you guys. you all seems to know a lot about them.
what i do know is that i fell inlove with L'Arc~en~Ciel's music. i like hyde's voice it seems so powerful and strong.
i do hope you can guide me and welcome me with open arms in this thread.
by the way i saw the album cover of KISS and i'm really speechless!! it's so cool!! black and white my favorite color!!
