No one else has an opinion on this? If the links are still good, I'll download them soon, shiroi_tora! (It's really late here).
I haven't been feeling too great lately, or else I would have stuck my nose back in this thread earlier. |
yah the links should still be good because it takes a REALLY long time for Megaupload to toss one out....if they are bad let me know and i will re upload them.
hope you feel better _________________

Thanks. I've downloaded the tracks, so you were right - they were still good.
As to the songs, well, I prefer Mika Nakashima's version, but I didn't think Girugamesh sounded bad.
I thought Mika's voice sounded pretty good, but then I think that was the first time I'd heard it. Maybe if I was familiar with her, I'd think differently.

While I think she has a good voice I feel she strains it too much in this song. Especially when she says "nemurenai yo!" I think she sung this song too high and so it doesnt make her sound good. That is the reason I feel the Girugamesh version is better (not just because I love them anyways). While they bring it down a couple octaves it made it more enjoyable to listen to.
I remember when I first heard the entire song and when she got to "nemurenai yo!" I flinched. People need to know their singing range and if they cant sing at a certain note just bring it down an octave.
For me I have a voice that a lower than most girls so there are songs I cant sing (even though I cant sing to begine with ) because the notes are too high. If I am by myself I dont care I just sing like a cat drowning but otherwise I just lower my voice but keep the same note _________________

But yeah, it can sound bad to sing out of one's range.
Shiroi, I am presuming Girugamesh are quite rocky? Do you like much Jrock? |
I've always liked Mika-chan's version of this song. I loved the movie, and Mika's portrayal of Nana. It was one of the first J-movies I ever saw, and I didn't know of Mika's previous musical releases, which are very different to the Nana stuff. I haven't heard the other version yet.
And Keps-chan: Shiroi-chan is very much a J-rock fan

^ Oops, I've probably read that before, but forgotten, AD.
I blame the codeine.
So, does anyone want some Tommy heavenly6? I've got a couple of her singles in my storage space.
Here's I'm Gonna SCREAM + (4 tracks) -
http://www.box.net/shared/5kqb6ax6p2
And here is Heavy Starry Chain (3 tracks) -
http://www.box.net/shared/7b22bsfmh7
I just received the I'm Gonna SCREAM + set today ( it comes with a dvd). The person who sent it (a seller on ebay), also sent a free gift. Very nice of them, but it's not something I'm interested in. It's a cd and dvd set, by a duo called Access (the first time I'd heard of them). The song is called Diamond Cycle (I think).
Anyone know them?

Is this the one I was or is this the AKB48
| Hanzo21 wrote: | Probably the absolute best music group from Japan right now is AKB48.
Great music, great lyrics, fantastic PV's, excellent stage show (not as flashy as Morning Musume but still extra fun). |
The only reasoin I disagree with your comment is because you said best music group in Japan. You might have wanted to specify Jpop. As for me I do not listen to Jpop except for a few songs. I listen to mostly visual kei. Whether they are the best in Jpop or not I have no qualification to discuss.
Anyways does anyone know the answer to my question 2 posts above? _________________
