Ethical dilemma right there! Should these parents be allowed to take home their newborns after rehab?Social services needs to tighten it's grip on this issue.

Back to the original child I was talking about.
I gave her her GED books today, took only 3 days, her Mom couldnt get that together in 3 months.
I told her I would sponsor her to do the online course and take her to the test no matter what. She is concerned that she should do it the way that cow of a mother wants her too. Loyalty however misplaced. So sad.
Her decision will be made in a few days after I get her all the info.
Will she play it safe with partying Mom or go for her future with me?
We'll see....... Shake Head Shake Head

you know what's worse than crack babies?

baby cracks. it's hard to imagine the kind of stench that creeps out of there until my two nephews came along. Now, im not saying that my sh*t smells nice or anything, far far FAR from it, but my nephews beat out even me. I dont know what my sister feeds them, but man, a gallon of Febreeze isn't enough to cover one diaper.

The balls rolling. Tonight, the cow Mom called and I think she believed she was only getting my machine but got me. She had attitude on the phone, (think she backed down from being hostile) and said she would "allow her daughter to ride with me tomorrow morning. NEver said thank you for our caring for her 3 dogs and 2 cats for the last four days.
Tomorrow during the ride I will tell her daughter the actual dates of the GED tests and about the online program. If she wants to go for it, I will talk to her cow of a Mom. I told her if she wants to play it safe, meaning doing her mom's supposed plan, I understand and wouldnt hold think less of her. That the books were a gift from me to her to help her acheive her gaols. I was straight with her about her Mom's behavior. Truth is rough sometimes. I also told her the only one who could do anything about her future was herself and that right now she was being offered help. Help is not always offered. It only gets harder later once youre working etc. to find the time to study.
MY BF is backing me totally. Attitude from the mom did not go over well with me at all. She also ripped me off this month by filling in more dates than she actually fed. Thinks we are total idiots. The poor daughter. Bang Head Bang Head I'll be posting. What a total cow. Beat You Beat You

Here's the update:
The Mom looked very relieved and said thanx for the help. The daughter has been filling out tests like a maniac in her GED book and asked for a highlighter pen.

OMG girl, that's WONDERFUL news! The world definitely needs more people like you! And I'm so thankful the mother was agreeable. It would have been terrible if she had opposed the whole ordeal. The young girl has an angel watching over her and its YOU! glomp

Not exactly. Shake Head
I have almost zero wind and a terrible cough. So I am basically housebound the doctor said for another 3 weeks, then a month more to feel close to what I did before I got sick.
But I am in a great mood just feeling tired and breathless, and not like death or death warmed over. w00t! Victory! Peace!

Well that's something... Pneumonia really plays havoc on your respiratory system... Slow (but steady) recovery seems to be the norm, as galling as it may seem.
