After a few listens I'm really starting to like this album. It's probably never going to be one of my favorites of theirs, because of various stylistic things, but it's so well done that I think it's great.
One thing, even though they aren't completely gone, but WAAAHHH bring back all of the solos. Not that the songs need them to be good, but they just became such an integral part of their sound over the years, and so it just feels like a few songs would be even better with one. Maybe L'Arc got a little bored with them, considering how many solos they've done over the past 16 years, and maybe Ken thought it would be best to take a break from them. I'm still amazed that he has been able to make this many fairly distinct solos without repeating himself.
Either way, good stuff. I hope to order it soon. I probably should have already, but things came up.

I totally agree with everything you said. This album really is a good one but I'd love to hear more solos! All of Ken's solos are absolutely amazing and original and I'd love to see them make their way back into Laruku's songs
I would have by now, but my only credit card recently got stolen, and I haven't received my new one just yet. The album will probably be the first thing I buy when I get the new one ready to go.
Also, am I the only one that can't stop listening to ALONE EN LA VIDA?

No, you are not And I love to listen to it with Daybreak's bell, they are great together, it's similar.
ALONE EN LA VIDA, the first time I listened to it, i thought it was a indredible great catchy song ! going crazyyy. and i started singing over the intro, Hyde style. A great moment with deep feeling for me !
Also, ALONE EN LA VIDA reminds me of the last pop songs of Red Hot Chili Peppers. _________________

Absolutely not! I love it, the rythm is really catchy and just gives me this feeling .. don't really know what it is, but oh well, it's laruku! They're unique and their songs are just something else!
Why didn't anyone mention Umibe? I like it too, but it kinda has a familiar rythm.
The best so far in this album ~
ALONE EN LA VIDA
Spiral
Sunadokei
THE BLACK ROSE
The least I liked was "pretty girl", it just doesn't seem to fit with the other songs in the album @@ ..
====================
By the way everyone, Hyde and Ken will be appearing as guests in Cartoon KAT-TUN!! The episode will air on November 28 , 2007 !!
When the subbed version is out, I'll post the download link, can't wait for this !!
