The title is "Watashi ha kai ni naritai"("I want to be a shellfish")
Only Nakai an Nakama Yukie are anounced as casts at this time.
The movie will be released in winter 2008.
"Watashi ha kai...." was released as a TV drama in 1958 for the first time.
Next year, it was made into a film.
In 1994, a TV drama was remade by TBS.
Then, this time, it is decided to make a film again in 2007-2008.
The original story is as follows.(If you don't want to know the story, don't read.

Toyomatsu Shimizu(nakai) is a barber and run his own barbar shop in Kochi pref with his wife(Nakama) during the War of the Pacific. He is sheepish and a mediocrity. One day, he receives a call-up papers from the army.
During the discipline in the army, Toyomatsu is ordered to kill an Amerikan captive soldier. But he hesitates to kill the soldier, he can only injur him.
After the war ends, he go back home. He starts to work as a barber again. One day, he is arrested due to captive abuse.
He is brought to Tokyo Tribunal of War Criminals, where he receives sentence of death. In the jail, he leaves a note.

It is anounced that Tsu's movie "Yama no Anata, Tokuichi no koi" will be released on May 24, 2008. I heard they had closed previews a few times. I seriously want to watch it asap.
BTW his drama will start on April 13. Because he already started to shoot the drama, he may have stage play or another movie in spring ne.

Yeah! I just checked my Cdjapan account and my order is now in shipping process. I think it means that they have the CD in stock now and have prepared my order. If everything go well, I guess I will recieve the CD by next weekend. Wonder whether there will be any SMAP photo inside the CD although I think there will be only lyrics on the inside.

His role is a soldier duing WWII. It may be unknatural if he looks plump in the movie because during the war, most of Japanese were malnutral.
He may have to have his hair cut and dye it black.
nakai is consider small inside smap, if he diet again..i think will be mini agree with you, maybe it is for his movie role. WW2, the people are skinny because no food to eat, impossible nakai role inside that movie is healthy and fat...like hollywood adrian brody, he loss his weight for shooting the pianist.

No, YesAsia doesn't count. Only HMV, Amazon, CDJapan and Tower Records count. _________________

that's good to know..now that i have a CDJapan account, i can start shopping there instead of YesAsia.
i can't believe how hard the boys are working, just reading what they have lined up for the end of the year & into next year is so overwhelming..a day off for them will be such a luxury. it's great for us fans that they have such a packed schedule, but i hope they have some time off in between all the crazyness to relax & enjoy the holidays..
i recently came across an online that showed how much money nakai, takuya and a few other singers/actors made in 2003 and i think nakai made a lil over USD4Mil & takuya made a lil over USD2Mil. they are SO underpaid for all the hard work they put into all their combined and individual projects..heck, nicole kidman reportedly made USD7Mil for a 2 minute channel commercial if you think about it, the boys are extremely underpaid! considering that they are one of the most successful groups in japan, they really should be paid better

My non smappy friends are questioning the outcome of Tsu's drama. They're all commenting whether Tsu suits the role or not as they consider him too old for the character. Geeez..i feel like strangling them for commenting as such even though i can understand the comment.
let's just wait and see, i know Tsu will do his best considering the drama is adapted from korea. He loves korea deshou?

Elaine, I've got the both of them encoded. The quality isn't superb but it's the best I can do with this equipment before I get my "actual media-computer" back in business.

I'm not sure what to think about the 'Sassy Girl'. It's kind of.. disturbing to think about it being a drama now. And Tsuyoshi.. of course I like him, but I'm worried about the negative exposure (that I'm sure comes up. It's already started).
Hmm well, we'll just have to wait and see.
