lol The weirdest part is seeing those two guy friends taking their clothes off to swim to the black ship, american ship. lol I was like WTF? rofl I can't sit through 49 episode if the one I like isn't leading. bleh

A new year is upon us! It looks like 2008 is starting off right, with a fresh batch of promising dramas to keep you warm throughout the winter weather. While this list doesn't include the tanpatsu dramas, take a look at the regular lineup for next season:

Mitokomon (���ˉ���)
TBS, Monday 8:00pm, premieres January 7
This jidaigeki drama has been renewed for a 38th season, with Kotaro Satomi still playing the lead as the legendary Mitokomon, who travels across Japan upholding justice.

However, due to his lack of control over his appetite, he always ends up in a higher weight class, leading to a series of losses. He then meets a nun-in-training named Angela (Meisa Kuroki), whom he falls for as she tries to help him with his problem.

In each episode, the protagonist comes close to death, but a mysterious group of referees appears to grant the person extra time. The focus of the drama is the way that each character makes use of that time. Atakake no Hitobito (����Ƃ̐l�X)

"Atakake no Hitobito" ("The Ataka Family") is based on a novel of the same name by Nobuko Yoshiya. Kumiko Endo stars as Kuniko, the daughter of an employee of the hotel magnate Soemon Ataka. She marries Soemon's mentally-challenged son Soichi (Shige Uchida), drawn to his pure heart rather than his fortune. Soichi is looked down upon by his younger brother Joji (Takashika Kobayashi), whose business failures have eaten away at the inheritance. While Kuniko desperately tries to protect the last remaining hotel from Joji, Joji's wife (Akane Oda) finds her way into Soichi's heart.

hmmm... Hiraoka Yuuta has a new look. And is it just me or a lot of this season's doramas have a cheesy theme??

also, there's going to be this year's biggest horror dorama!!!, One-Pound Gospel, starring non other than Kame-bleh-face as a boxer (whoever did the casting got paid by Johnny there must be something wrong with their eyes).

what to look forward to this season??? check out these two doramas!

I don�Lt get most of the themes: a boxer that sings (and the boxer is of all Johnnys Kame ROFL), a guy who talks to deers, a girl seeing the future when overeating wtf - let�Ls hope that there are some hidden gems in this winter potpourri Sweat

Kame as a boxer is as believable as Johnny Kitagawa pretending he isn't gay.

I could actually have considered watching 1 Pound if they hadn't casted him in it.


I hope they feed him before he starts acting......he might not make it past the first punch.

The guy who talks to deer and the one about the teacher with the gloomy personality who pretends to be a ghost at night sound offbeat/interesting to me. The Negotiator just sounds like Unfair II.
