Well, if you have to. Mr Green I won't hesitate again for asking for the Nodame SP that you fixed up.

I just watched the Anego special.

Sadly, I didn't realize when I started that it was really just a clip show. A rehash of the series.

But it was worth watching (for me) because it reminded me of how much I enjoyed the series.

I know Ryoko Shinohara has had big hits with Haken and Unfair, but my favorite Shinohara vehicle has to be Anego.

I completely agree, tho like Toshi-kun, the one thorn for me was Jin and how he had terrible chemistry with Ryoko. It wasn't her fault, he just couldn't act to save his life.

On Topic: I started re-watching Wedding Planner (saw epi's 1-3 last night) and I think I'll continue to finish it today. Mr Green

I'll get the NodameSP over to you once the final release of the subs for Lesson 2 are available and the authoring is done...

And hopefully it won't take a month to get to you through the post office. bleh

I finished the 10th episode of Odoru Daisousasomething and there was such a cliffhanger that I can't wait to see the last episode! And what a turn of events--

Just don't send it to my home address and I should get it within two weeks. Victory! Peace!

On Topic: I'm on episode 8 of Wedding Planner, and my sis and I are planning on finishing it tonight. This way I can get back to watching Bewitched, which I'm missing. It's amazing how such a silly drama can get you so hooked!

I really hope this version of Bewitched is better than the one you have, B-san. We should compare notes.

Finished Bambino...it wasn't bad...I liked the supporting cast. Jun overacted and I felt that he was still playing Domyouji to some extent.

Not yet. I have the 8 episodes that have been subbed, but these days I try not to watch shows until the subbing is complete.

A drag when I spend months waiting for the subs to be completed, only to find out that I donft like the show.

But far less painful than starting a show that I really likec only to have the subs cut off half way through.

I agree. They had no chemistry. But thatfs because shefs a damned fine, polished actressc and hefsc nothing. I assume hefs some sort of a pop starc but Ifd never heard of him. And now that his fan base will have turned 12, I expect his career is a footnote.

Ifd actually forgotten that he was in the show until I watched the special. In my memory, the main supporting players were Naho Toda, Masaya Kato (who got to do a comic turn in gUnfairh), and the always cute as a button Sayaka Yamaguchi.

By the way... along with reminding me that I really liked "Anego" the special had another nice surprise for me in the end. Suzuki Anju had a small part, playing a TV Hostess interviewing some fortune teller.

I bring it up only because I've been watching a lot of Anju-san's dramas from the mid '90s lately, and I'm steadily becoming a fan.

My goodness, she looked fantasitc in this Special from 2005.

Your selective memory serves you well, Geezer, but his glaringly awful presence I couldn't so easily dismiss....I think I need more practice. I finished the show on the strength of Ryoko Shinohara's performance, if nothing else.

Sorry, there isn't a thread for the following drama, so I'll post a review here if that's ok...

Finally finished Odoru Daisousasen (and I finally got the title right! w00t! ). Thanks to shin2 and the others who recommended it to me because it was a grand drama and I can't remember the last time that I saw a drama this good. It has everything from suspense to comedy to drama to just plain old-fashioned good storywriting. The cast is perfect and I can't think of anyone who could take their place. Even though this drama is over 10 years old, it honestly doesn't feel or that way. The only telltale signs are some outdated technology (huge cellphones), a Tamagochi, Shinohara Tomoe being popular hehe , some lady with a loud outfit and a loud hairstyle to boot. But that's about it. Everything else about it seems like it could be made 5 years ago or even less. My guess is because most of the clothing and hairstyles are kept to a classic minimum and the wardrobe and hairstyling staff didn't go for the "trendy" looks of that time, which I felt was a good decision.

With that said, Odoru Daisousasen was really wonderful and I don't really care for detective dramas at all. I think it's because you got to know the characters as each episode progressed and if any of them died or left the cast, it would have a major impact on the show. Getting to know and love the cast is probably what drew me and many other fans to this detective drama. The subtle but hilarious comedy was just the icing on the cake. There were moments when I just had to laugh out loud. Literally.

So with that said, I have to give this drama a 9.5. I guess that probably should round off to a 10, but I'm going to keep it at 9 for the rating. Depending how I feel about it, I might change it to a 10 after watching it again for a second time.

Now on to the Odoru Daisousasen movie #1. Victory! Peace!

I watched Sasaki Fusai no Jingi Naki Tatakai when it aired yesterday (and got good ratings, I'm happy!), and it's totally hilarious rofl

Goro and Koyuki have amazing chemistry and the concept works too ^^[/b]
