SOS. bleh. *shudder* And Gal Circle was just ridiculous. I still don't get what the point of the story was. _________________

In a year or so, you'll wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat and say, "Now I get it!!"

Okay... I finished Fukigen na Jiin ("Grumpy Gene")
.
It just got worse at the end.
The problem was... as it almost always is... the writing.
There's an old saying in the Theater; " If it ain't on the page... it ain't on the stage."
On a brighter note... I just took a look at the newly uploaded version of episode 1 of Double Kitchen, and it's absolutely beautiful. _________________ Manga is to Literature

I'm praying to the J-Dorama Gods that a similar pristine version for Tokyo Elevator Girl will show up very soon....

Enjoyed the anime so I have high hopes. |
I think Ito Misaki was well cast as Kyoko Otonashi but they never made a dorama out of it so it's a one off...I actually downloaded a 1986 live action Maison Ikkoku but have yet to see it.

I didn't think much of the first episode either. If I had pulled a beem and gave up on that first episode, I would've missed out on a great series, so don't give up!
I'm watching the 4th or 5th episode of Egao no Hosoku. The way it was authored to DVD is confusing so it's hard to tell when one episode ends and when another one starts. So when you're on episode 4, it's actually episode 3 or something odd like that. _________________

Hmm, why did you author it that way?

I didn't. I got it in a trade. I don't suck *that* bad at authoring stuff contrary to my posts in the DVD authoring thread. Then again, it may not have been the one who authored it, but the way the episodes were set up. _________________

I'm gonna take a quick break from watching " Singles" (a bit too heavy for weather this dreary.)
Instead I'm gonna start Yakusha Damashii
http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1037.htm
Matsu always cheers me up. And I can't wait to hear Fujita Makoto doing Richard the Third in Japanese. _________________ Manga is to Literature

If the drama was ripped from VCDs, that might explain things: I've seen VCDs where the episodes are all joined end to end... 11 episodes on 7 or 8 discs...
What a mess when you try to transfer all that to DVD.

Great. I'm getting some VCDs in a trade and I was hoping there was a way to author them to DVD format. Now it looks like I'll have trouble. I'll post it in the appropriate thread once I attempt to tackle that.
On topic: I'll probably watch the 5th or 6th episode of Egao no Hosoku after I'm done posting here. _________________

The task is relatively simple... If you have the right tools and know what you're doing.
Thing is, the video quality of most VCDs is only so-so.
