Someone wanted me to try asking about a drama that was about a father and his 3 daughters who owned a kimono shop. The father ended up passing away and the daughters found out that he had a mistress who was named in the will. That's about all the person remembered.

Does anyone have any idea what this drama is?

I'm looking for a drama about a girl that worked in a sandwich shop at the beginning of the series and trained to be a concierge at a Bali resort. She somehow started dating a wealthy business man that she used to deliver lunch to, then fell for his spoiled half-brother (whom he didn't realize he had). Thanks!

I saw a Japanese drama (or possibly movie) several years ago that was set in a city on the side of a hill/mountain next to the ocean. The mountain was very steep (maybe 45 degrees?) and I remember many beautiful shots of the city looking downwards toward the ocean where you could see the sparkling ocean in the distance and many many buildings on the way. I really would like to find this drama again and/or what city that might be.

The city may be Nagasaki or in Hokkaido somewhere but I can't find any pictures online which look like the drama I remember.

Happy New Year!!

I wonder if anyone can help me figure out the name of this drama..

"A boy with a Japanese band goes to perofrm in S Korea and meets a Korean girl who criticizes his choice of music because they are just covering songs made famous by other groups. He doesn't know that she is a tremendously famous S Korean pop star who later goes to Japan to see whether she can extend her popularity there. They meet again in Japan and fall in love (with lots of hassles of course) although he still doesn't know who she is. Eventually, she asks him to go to S Korea with her and when he gets there and meets her family, he finds out who she is, which makes him feel that he is not good enough for her. Meanwhile, she is diagnosed with an illness that will end her career, but at the end all turns out well when he returns to S Korea and goes to her farewell concert."

Does ithis ring a bell to anyone? Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks so much!

i'm pretty sure this is the Kubozuka Yousuke drama Mou Ichido Kiss (One more kiss). I remember reading a similar synopsis in the Dorama Encyclopedia. Big Grin

PostPosted: Sun Mar 02, 2008 1:13 pm    Post subject: Can someone help me name two dramas? Reply with quote Back to top

I was in Japan recently and I saw two samurai dramas on daytime TV. I'd really like to get their names. I don't know if they aired daily or once a week, but I'm pretty sure they aired regularly. Both seem older like they were from the 60's or 70's.

I saw them more than once, but for the life of me I can't remember what day of the week I saw them first.

But they both played on Thursday the 28th, the first around 10:30am on channel 10 and the second started when that one ended at 11:30am on channel 12, both an hour long. (My dad's apt is in Akasaka Tokyo)

I'll just refer to them as ch 10 and ch 12 Wink
Ch 10 had two roming samurai, Ronin I guess, and they 'helped out' on occasion I am also guessing. In this episode the daughter of some lord or another was kidnapped and the younger samurai with a ponytail, went with a group to try to rescue her. They are captured and in the end he's placed in the same cell as her. The lord is killed by the bad guys and the second older samurai gets a map to the hideout of the bad guys. He uses a talking bird that is a pet of the daughter to distract the bad guys before he kicks ass. The daughter and younger samurai are let go and they beat the bad guys and go home. In the end the two Samurai go off on the road again.

Ch 12, now this one was different because it seemed to star a woman. I don't know if she was the starring character but she was certainly a leading character. She wasn't old, but not young either. Maybe 35-40. One thing that stood out for me was that she had the fancy hairdo but some loose strands framed her face. She says something right at the end of the opening credits.
Both the first and second episode had her in it, it didn't have all the same people I saw in the first episode. she wasn't a Geisha, but their was a geisha house in the town she lives in where it seemed that the samurai liked to hang out.
She appared to work in/own some kind of restaurant.

I don't know if that helps at all, I really wanted to know the name of 'ch 12'.
Thanks for any help you might be able to give me!

Oh I'm sorry, I'm not very good with forums. I didn't see one just for identifying dramas, I don't suppose you could point it out for me? As for the guidelines, I did use the search engine, and while I found some good looking dramas I didn't have enough details I guess to get what I was looking for.

Hello,

I went through all 38 pages but I couldn't find what I was looking for. If I missed it then I'm sorry.

I really need help with 2 jdrama and jmovie

1. J-Drama:
This is an old drama. I remember watching it in the 80s or 90s. Definitely filmed before 1995(this I'm sure).
Story: This takes place in a more modern period. They weren't wearing kimonos but normal clothes. Like 80s clothings. A few kids helping this one "dragon boy?" to look for his mom. She is a dragon or something like that. When they found her, it was only her "dragon" bones. Sorry this is all I remember.

2. J-Movie (or it could be drama)
Again, this is an old movie. Definitely before 1995. This is a sci-fi movie.
Story: Takes place at a school, in the science room. A few kids (junior high or high school) were at school in the science room and weird things started happening. Like the fake human body (http://storeforknowledge.com/images/saf-3179-21.jpg) started moving. and scary things started happening.
Then they realized they were in another dimension so they figured out how to get back. They ran outside the school and there was this light coming down from the sky. They ran under it and they begin floating up. They all went except for one person. All of them were telling him/her(i forgot if it was a boy or a girl) to come back and he/she said no.

Hopefully this is a good enough description for someone to recognize it. Thank you in advanced.
