Momo-chan's terrific... And Igarashi's a lovable goof.

They're a great, fun police duo... Victory! Peace!

I finished "Hotaru no Hikari" over the weekend

http://jdorama.com/drama.1192.htm

and it was terrific from beginning to end.

I know I'm really enjoying a show when I forget to leer at the pretty girls -- and Kuninaka Ryoko and Itaya Yuka are very pretty girls -- and focus in totally on the characters and the story.

This show is a romantic comedy with (at least to me) some very original characters. A very nice turn on a favorite old genre.

Now I'm gonna get started on "SP".

Even though I kinda miss his evil characters, I love when he plays those oddball characters. Itadakimasu! Naughty

You reckon Igarashi might actually be hiding the body of a Chippendale under his shirt, then?
I'm not so sure myself. hehe

@ Topic - I wanted to watch Kuitan 2 episode 5, but the dvd machine was in use recording stuff. bleh

I'm hoping to get a friend of mine into dramas. She's not a member of this board, and as far as I know has never seen a dorama before.
She's having a rough time lately, so I said I'd send her some stuff to cheer her up (hopefully).
I'm planning on sending her Kuitan and My Boss My Hero.
Wish me luck with the conversion! Sweat

Excellent choices for beginners! Victory! Peace!

I gave MBMH to my friend out of town, and he absolutely loved the comedy. Obviously...to quote BMW...Nodame is a good one to give to people too, so if they want to go a bit further in, make them a convert as well! hehe

Of course, make sure to get her pointed in the right direction if she starts loving the shows by getting her here and into the recommendations thread!

Lol @ "took" - makes it sounds like you're planting stuff (I suppose you are, in a way).
I'll let you know how my attempt at cultivating (!) my friend goes. Big Grin

Anyway, I'm going to bed now - it's 11.40 pm. Good night Beem, and anyone who's lurking! Victory! Peace!

Just before I get to bed - thanks, Tenshigure! I haven't seen Nodame yet, so I can't send my friend it.

Oh yeah, I'll definitely drag her to this board is she sees the light! You can be sure of that! Victory! Peace!
Good night, Tenshigure. Mr Green

Oyasumi! I'm sure there are plenty of other recommendations out there for beginners, but I hope you get a +1 here, hehe.
