I just bought the OST!! This CD is A-MUST!!!!!! LOVED ALL THE MUSICS!!!! Esp. in full version! Beautiful, sweet, romantic, yet heart-wrenching
And I'm happy that all the writings on the cover, are alphabets! The kanji parts are only for the copyrights attention. And all the music titles are in English too, except for 2 tracks which are arranged from existing songs. All the credits are in alphabets too.
By the by, I haven't heard these musics in the drama yet (I've watched each episode like 3 times). If I miss them, anyone, pls help me point out on which scene these tracks appeared in the drama.
Track 2: Bara ga Saita ~The Rose Bloom (Strings version)
Track 8: After rain
Track 12: A flower shop without the master
Track 16: A quirk of fate (this one's awesome!! I can imagine this music for the climax scene! Eiji-Mio-Shizuku's fate ) _________________
Yanie Chan, glad you like the OST so much... But hard for overseas fans to get it though...
On a side note, I think Takeuchi Yuko's acting has really matured over the years.... Been watching her old shows (style, lunch queen, even Pride) compared to her acting in bara no nai hanaya; she has really improved!

Ehh?? marienella has uploaded Bara no nai Hanaya OST in the Jdorama themesongs and soundtrack thread, hurry download it! You can also download it at D-Addicts/Torrents.
Speaking of Takeuchi Yuko's acting, my friend said she's VERY "Aki"-like here. Aki is her character in PRIDE, so its just like repeating Aki character. Does anybody think the same?
I remember I didn't like Aki character too much. But I like Takeuchi Yuko in any other dramas, including here. Well... I admit Shirato Mio is kinda annoying when she's whining saying she's scared and all, but I like her childish, cheerful side and I just hope she show that side of her more. _________________
Hmm, I don't think she's like Aki though...
When she was acting Aki, it was more innocent yet one dimensional. Her main role was just to love Kimura.
When she's Mio, I can see that she is more conflicted, more layers in her character. We can see different facets of Mio, her fears & worries, her struggles etc etc... Anyway, that's just me...

This drama is CRAZY!!! SO MANY unexpected things happened in tonight's episode!! It is scary! I got goosebumps just to remember it.
I'll let out everything... *WARNING* ....EVERYTHING!
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
The opening scene was so heart-warming, and I was so happy to see it. On the day where Shizuku's friends' mothers are invited to school, Mio was there for Shizuku. Then Eiji came to pick them up. Shizuku told Eiji, "Mio-chan was the most beautiful mama in class!!". Eiji smiled, "She's not your mama yet,". Mio was startled, "...yet?". Then, Eiji and Mio became all awkward, Shizuku was giggling. This might be the only happy moment in the episode xD
A lawyer came to the flower shop and told Eiji that Shizuku's grandfather is going to file up a custody case. Eiji was shocked to hear this.
Meanwhile, Mio called Naoya and told him that they better look for Shizuku's mother's friend who taped all the videos for her. She want to hear more about Eiji from that friend.
There was only one Eiji-Mio romantic moment in tonight's episode. Mio came to Eiji's house bringing her hand-made 'nikujaga'. They can hear Hishida-obaasan and Shizuku's singing from the bathroom. Eiji said, he likes to hear them singing from the side. Mio asked, "From the side? Don't you want to join the happiness?".
Eiji replied, "I can't join, if I join I'll become too happy, then I'll be scared. Scared that someday God will take away this happiness from me, God will take away everything from me,".
"I see... it must be coz what happened to your wife, ne... you were happy together... but then... Wait a minute, are you thinking the same about me? You think I'll disappear someday?" Eiji didn't answer. "Heyy~ it sounds like you're okay even if I disappear then!" Mio pouts and pretend to be unhappy. Eiji firmly said, "Please, don't disappear from my side... pls don't disappear...". Mio became all happy when she heard that, "Right! You should've say so from the beginning!".
Anzai told Mio his intention about taking away Shizuku's custody rights. Mio was shocked and totally against this, she said she still have the money and she can just give it back to Eiji. Anzai said, he still hold the card, too, which is her father... he's the only one who can operate surgery on her father. Mio firmly said, "Then, just kill him!!! In change for that, I'll hate you and I'll take my revenge to you!! I'll revenge you with all might, I'll make you suffer your whole life and I'll never let you go!".
I have to say, Mio said a quite scary line... she's really trapped....
Hishida-obaasan told Ono-sensei about Mio's identity. That night, Naoya broke in to Mio's place and point out a knife on her, he demand her to tell him where the money is, coz he really need it, he didn't mean to threat her like this, but he really need the money. Mio tried to struggle, but Naoya finally got the money and escape from there, he bumped into Ono-sensei who just about to visit Mio.
On another day, Ono-sensei and Mio talked in a cafe, that sensei knows about Mio's identity. Sensei believe she's a good person and that her feelings for Eiji is true, coz she stayed even after she received the money. And she told Mio, that Eiji already knows, coz Hishida told him first. Mio was mentally shocked, she remember everything Eiji said when they drove to the beach together. She cried on the street and just fall, sit on the ground, crying, without noticing there are many kids passing by. And it was raining.
Eiji determined to let Shizuku go, coz he thinks Shizuku will be happier in her grandfather's place. She can learn piano, ballet and everything. He came to Anzai's place and told him about this. Then Anzai asked him, "I would like to confirm one thing... you ARE the guy who killed my daughter right?". Eiji replied, "Hai...".
At home, Shizuku just got back from school, Eiji told her to sit down. He told her that from now on, she'll live in grandfather's house together with Hishida-san. But he's not coming with her.
Shizuku: Father, did I do something that make you hate me now?
Eiji: Yes... you're a troublesome, I'd like to live alone from now on...
Shizuku: (in tears) Then I'll be a good girl from now on...
Eiji didn't say a word, Shizuku became more and more panic, she cried, wheep and beg Eiji to let her be together with him. Suddenly, Eiji slap her face, and said in a loud voice, "I HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!!!!". Shizuku run out the house, in the middle of the rain. I really cried buckets on this scene Can't believe Eiji did that!!!!
Later Mio called Eiji and told him that Shizuku is sleeping at her place now. Mio was surprised that Eiji is willing to let Shizuku go. Mio asked, "This is not just about the money, right?? There's something else right? Tell me, what is it! You promise that you'll never lie to me,". Eiji just said, "I know that this day will come someday... I just know... This is God's plan..."
Anzai was in the middle of surgery, but suddenly his fingers gone stiff. He immediately asked the nurse to find another doctor to replace him. In the office, Naoya was there and said to him, "I see... this is a great finding... it seems you're losing your winning card... actually you CAN'T operate surgery on Mio-san's father...".
The last scene, Mio was putting Shizuku to sleep. She was watching Shizuku's mother's video, but it finished and the screen went blank. After few minutes, suddenly the screen goes back on again, its Shizuku's mother's in another place, saying, "Alriiight! So now I'll introduce you my friend who has been taping the videos for me... c'mon, c'mon, don't be shy... show your face to the camera... here, come on.... HERE HE IS~~ EIJI-KUN DEESU!!!".
It is EIJI on the camera... he is Shizuku's mother's friend who had been taping the videos = NOT Shizuku's father.
Mio is MENTALLY SHOCKED once again.... wait... wait, I think THAT WAS ME, who got MENTALLY SHOCKED....
I think I'll knock Nojima Shinji's house door and ask him the rest of the script myself _________________

now who is shizuku's father? why did the doctor make a mistake in plotting the revenge against eiji? does eiji know who the real father is?

Shizuku's father was shown in the next week's preview, long hair with black suits and sunglasses... looks like Takenouchi Yutaka to me =P I guess because Eiji adopted Shizuku, so Anzai mistook him as the father. Eiji MIGHT know the real father.
Now what made me like "WHOA~ wait a minute" is... everything kanojo said was on Shizuku's father's personality and past right??!@_@ It was not about Eiji at all!! So what was Eiji's past like? Traumatic childhood can still apply. But was he a bad guy?? I don't think so... he looked as shy and as introvert as he is now on that video. But then, why did he slap Shizuku and yelled at her? How come he kept saying that he was a bad guy... and everything indicated that he WAS a bad guy. But then, the "Beauty and The Beast" story... so the beast was not Eiji??? But then why Eiji kept looking at his shivering hand in Ep3??! How about the "there's cold parts inside my heart that I want to erase" line??!!
I really can't accept this. It feels to me like the writer was just trying to fool and distract the audience with all that... just so suddenly they can make an "out of this world" revelation in tonight's episode >_< I really need explanation... it really depends on the last 5 episodes for me to decide whether this drama is actually good, or a disappointment >_<

If Eiji is not Shizuku's real father, then Anzai didn't need to go to all this trouble to take her away. A simple blood test would have proved that Eiji had no right to custody of Shizuku. (He would not have formally adopted her, since he was pretending to be her real father.)
My wife thinks Eiji was the best friend of Shizuku's mother. Perhaps he agreed to raise Shizuku, since her real father didn't seem to be interested. (Why didn't she want her parents to take care of Shizuku from the beginning?)
Eiji, feeling he has no chance to win a court battle with Anzai, wants Shizuku to be happy, therefore he pretends he doesn't like her and he gets angry with her in an attempt to make her want to go live with Anzai so that she won't be sad he (Eiji) is not with them. (This type of scene has been done in many different stories.)
From what we know now, it seems that Eiji's behavior is designed to protect Shizuku from finding out that her real father didn't care about her. So far, she believes that, even though her mother died, her father still loved her. If she knew he's not her father, then she lost both parents.

Sounds like this drama is starting to have screwed up twists and turns. I guess Nojima Shinji hasn't failed me after all. I can't wait to watch the next batch of episodes. _________________
never rely on DA for raws, clubbox and of course, Japanese P2P programs are the best sources for that. files are immediately released there and the download speeds are way faster than torrent. sorry if off topic, but scaturan, ive noticed that you always request for seeds in DA when the files that you're looking for are still available in clubbox or share/win mx.
just check these tutorials for Japanese P2P, they are very useful if you want to use Share or Win mx.

Interview ~ TAKEUCHI YUKO
translated by Yanie
On the set, Katori-san always talked to me about his own thoughts on the story, like "Shizuku will end up like "this", actually Naoya is "this" kind of person...". He thought of what's gonna happen even to the last episode. Sometimes, his eyes suddenly goes blank and said, "Everything is okay for me. Whatever happen to me... I don't care," he said it while acting his own character's way of talking, of course he's joking. (laughs)
I often asked the director too, "What will happen after this?", and he was just grinning, "I'm not telling you,". "Aaah~~~ I want to know what happen next!! Is the next script not ready yet!?" I always thought like that. (laughs)
While the story keep continue, if you watch kanojo's video letter again from the first episode, you'll probably go, "Ah! So that's what she meant!". There are so many hints, so don't let your guard down. Especially, in Episode 7, there's a development that'll make you think, "WHAT!??" like that. (laughs)
About Eiji and Mio's relationship, I always feel like telling her, "Eiji-san will accept your apology and understand you, so hurry and tell him the truth!!". If they can understand each other and then walk forward together, that'll be great, ne...

I, myself, am always shocked everytime I read the next script. Not to mention, the last page would always gave me a feeling of, "EEE~~??!". Everyone is surprised too, right? About that video? I can't believe it myself that it was ME (Eiji) who recorded them!
I'm really having fun doing this drama, and I enjoyed listening to everyone's thoughts on what's the next development gonna be like, THE MOST. (laughs) In the next episode, there will be another unthinkable development, so please keep watching!
Q. What do you think will happen to Eiji and Mio's love relationship?
If we try to imagine of what Eiji and Mio did and their feelings as ours in real life, it's really sad. Playing the roles, it makes us really think about it. I often talk about it with Yuko-chan, like "How will you take it if you're in that position?", "I don't think I can face it,". Now, I come to think... that maybe I don't need a big happiness. I don't mind even if it's just a small one, I'd like to grab a small, warm happiness. I think this is what all the characters in the story wants too. Since this is a story full of tragedy and so many things happened, I really want everything to end happily and everyone is blessed in the end.
~a little memo~
It was such a shocking development, that all the casts were seriously shocked too, when they read the script. One of the staff told us, "Yagi Yuki-chan, who played Shizuku, still hasn't realized that Katori-kun is not her father, even after she read the script,". Yappari, she was too shocked?!!
Shingo: This is a drama that everyone will love. And I had a great time filming it.
Yuko: There are alot of things I cannot talk about right now, so first of all, I just want everyone to watch the first episode.
Then, Shingo said he memorized Zutto Issho sa's lyrics more than SMAP's new single (Dangan Fighter). And, apparently Shingo's 18 hours live promotion on Jan 14th, was just announced to him on this very day, so he was shocked.
Shingo appeared LIVE on Tokudane, pretending to be the main host, LOL! While the main host was hiding on the side of the studio. Shingo imitate Ookura-san, the real host's way of talking^^
Then the real Ookura-san, comes up, and he said, "Shingo-kun!! I watched the first episode! OMOSHIROIIIIIIII~~~!!!!". Shingo was surprised, "Hee? He? I haven't even watch the first ep myself!!". Apparently, Ookura-san borrowed the first ep tape from a FujiTV staff.
A gist of their conversation.
Ookura: HONTOU NI omoshiroi!!! There were so many riddles, and it made me goes "ehhhh?" in the end! I really cannot wait for the second episode!
Shingo: Deshou, deshou? This story is really difficult to elaborate coz there are just so many surprising developments!
Ookura: yes, yes.... we really can't say much here, ne! You know what, this is the primetime slot, right? And usually it gets high ratings right? I'll tell you now... this drama will DEFINITELY gets high ratings!!!
Shingo: *looks flattered* Ookura-san....
Other host: He... really? Is it okay to say this now?
Ookura: Really, really! I'm so sure! This is gonna be a hit! And my predictions are usually right! Trust me! After I watched it yesterday, I really can't sleep thinking about it... I really wanna know what happened next! If we're going to have a discussion now about the first episode alone, it might take 1 hour, y'know! There are just so many things to discuss about this drama!
Female host: So is it like a suspense mystery drama?"
Shingo: No... not really suspense... but its a common life's riddles... I'm sure there are many riddles as well in our daily life, but Nojima Shinji cleverly write it to a story and make it very interesting, and it will make people goes, "eeeeeh~~?", really!
Too bad it cuts off in the middle, there should be another 2 mins until Shingo finally leave the studio. _________________
