So what's everyone watching for this summer season?

So far, I've watched:
First Kiss
Hana Kimi
Ushi ni Negai wo: Love & Farm
Tantei Gakuen Q
Yamada Taro Monogatari
Papa to Musume no Nanokakan
Hotaru no Hikari

Yet to be watched:
Jigoku no Sata mo Yome Shidai
Yama Onna Kabe Onna
Katagoshi no Koibito
LIFE

Of the ones I've watched, First Kiss is my favourite. The casting is excellent and Inoue Mao's acting is very enjoyable. Mr Green

Oh yeah I passed by Poh Kim @ Tiong Bahru recently. Saw quite a number of Dramas/Movies. Are those authentic japanese productions? As in imported directly from Japan? They're selling quite cheap.

Sorry haven't been on this site latey. How is everyone? When's our food outing? hehhe

Those dramas tat we see in those shops are not import directly from Japan, those original Japan version of Drama = super expensive boxset, 1 box set usually cost around $200 - $300 :| i think

HI there Big Grin

I was hoping someone can recommend a DVD player that sells in Singapore that plays AVI files and(hopefully) the softsubs, like my Philips does in the USA.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Bow

yeah, why are kdramas all over channel u now. jdramas are like 9230187534 times better. we should write in a petition haha! or maybe its because airing the jap dramas are 9230187534 times more costly than those cheap kdramas.

GOOD QUESTION!

Channel U or 8 haven't been showing a single J doramas since eons!

I loved the days back in the 90s, when every weekends, the tv channels are all packed with J doramas... I still remembered those days, when there were periods which every saturday i will rush home from my cca to catch itazura no kiss, and evey sunday i will wake up in the morning to watch under the same roof and beach boys....
where is all these fun?! Puppy Dog Eyes

The Korean dramas are the hottest recently. I think there was a dispute between some japanese station and Mediacorp to air Jdramas. So there was a real long hiatus.

The last Jdrama I recall being aired was Engine on Channel U. That was it I fwink. Bleah

I think it's a demand thingy anyways too. I mean most people these days are into Korean or Taiwanese dramas. No one watching Jdramas except the few loyal us. Bleah
