i finally watched tamaki-kun's latest performance in HEY3x, his voice was indeed in a not so good condition..i even thought he was olready suffering from colds hence it worsened the following day.. Sweat
i went Shocked on his hair!! is it just me, or he's somehow getting bald or it's just because of the hairstyle that's why i thought that.. Nut
i sooo wish tamaki-kun wud get back unto his former look well more so during his NC days.. Shameful Cry

From what i read at baidu, this is a event endorsed by Tamaki-kun for a symphony band in Yokohama.

Right. And why he holds a newspaper is that he appeared on the commercials for Yomiuri Shimbum (Yomiuri Newspaper) which promoted the event.

Another Tamaki-kun holding a newspaper.

Thanks alot Shiori~
the vid tempted me to re-watch Nodame Cantabile
I have lose count on how many times i have re-watch Mr Green
Maybe i should start my pending Tamaki's doramas i have not watch.

Any recommendations on which i should i start?
My pending Tamaki dorama list as below:
1) Remote
2) Top Caster
3) Itoshi Kime E
4) Hyouheki ( think Shiori recommended this previously?)

I haven't watched Remote or Itoshi Kimi E yet, but one thing I can tell you is that I've never heard good reputation with Tamaki-kun fans for Remote... Sweat

I definitetly recommend you to watch Hyouheki first since I love Tamaki-kun's serious expression! You can read Chinese, can't you? The online streaming with Chinese subs is this:
http://www.tudou.com/playlist/id/2062250/

I also enjoyed Top Cacter very much, but at first I was bewildered by Kani-chan(Kanihara Kensuke) who is quite different from Okudera Kyouhei in Hyouheki. Kani-chan is always cheerful as you see from the picture. hehe Both are charming, but I prefer Okudera.

Additionally, he played Chiaki six months after Top Cater.
When the casting was announced, a lot of fans of manga were totally against Tamaki-kun as Chiaki because their image of Tamaki-kun was Kani-chan. hehe

@Shiori-chan, Tamaki's expression was funny after he heard the MCs comments about his hair! Don't quite understand what the 3 girls behind him were saying. Why did they had such big reactions? Especially the girl in blue. Confused

There was "One question to one artist time" in the show. Tamaki-kun chose Perfume the three girls to ask. Why did he choose them... Grumble
Anyway, he asked "Are there any troubles among you? "
The girl in blue answered,"No."
The MC said, "When she said no, the other girls must have thought she was a liar."
So the blue girl reacted big. hehe The MCs are one of the most popular commedians.

i'm so glad tamaki kun has such warm fans like all of u Applaud love all the pics that you guys posted!

i recommend itoshi kimi e. you can stream it on crunchyroll..tamaki-kun is quite good in there but the main reason i watched that show was because of naohito fujiki. if u like naohito too, then you'll love this show because it's so touching! unless you don't want to cry buckets of tears, then you'd better not watch this.

are there english subs for hyouheki? is it a movie? because i read somewhere that there are 6 parts to it, is that true?

Fujiki Naohito is so handsome! He is acting a clinical psychotherapist in his new drama Around 40 which starts on April 11.

Hyouheki is a drama of 6 episodes aired 9 months before Nodame series.
I found DVDs with English subs were sold online somewhere... Sweat

I also recommend Itoshi Kimi e. I watched it because of Naohito actually. Tamaki stole my attention there but it was Nodame Cantabile that got me hooked into him hehe
I've watched Henshin and I think the story is just so so, not that interesting (but he still looks gorgeous though hehe ).

Btw, I found this interview translation from tokyograph.

Actor Hiroshi Tamaki gets interviewed by Oricon for "Bridge," his first album in more than three years.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hiroshi Tamaki Special Interview
(translated by sigelx)

Oricon: This is your first album in a little more than three years. What approach did you want to take this time?

Hiroshi: Even though, in my current situation, it's difficult for me to concentrate solely on music, I wanted to create an album that could link me to the people that listen to my music. In other words, when people listen, I think they can know me as not an actor but as someone they know on a more personal level.

Oricon: So you wanted to include a lot of strong messages this time?

Hiroshi: Yeah, I'm not very good with love songs and they're embarrassing for me. (laugh) So more than that, I wanted to tell people what's been on my mind lately and so, yeah, there are quite a few songs with messages.

Oricon: What songs particularly left you with a song impression?

Hiroshi: "With" and "Beautiful Day." I sang both of these songs at live shows and they were great memories for me. But since these songs were made specifically to be played live, we had to change the arrangements for recording to keep that feeling.

Oricon: In your lyrics to "With," the words really seem to set the scene well. How did you go about that?

Hiroshi: I wanted to express the feeling of "Life can't be lived alone. We all need a helping hand." I really like it when "real life" scenes are set up well, whether it is in a movie or in music. And I did that consciously. Other than that though, when I heard the song for the first time, the theme sprang out at me and I tried to take that and put it into words.

Oricon: Your voice is definitely not excessive by any means and sounds really natural I think but, do you think that it is a result of the way you write your lyrics?

Hiroshi: Well, if you suck at something, it's ok that you suck at it is all. (laugh) More than that though, I think that expressing life through words is important. I want to convey my feelings to other people through my lyrics so I concentrate to put myself in the lyrics and imagine what those feelings are when I sing for the recording. I think I picked this up from my experience as an actor.

Oricon: How do you switch back and forth between actor and singer?

Hiroshi: They are two totally different worlds and even though I take a while to get in the right frame of mind when I switch roles, after a while I somehow seem to "get the engine started." But there are times when I'm recording and somewhere in my head I think, "I've got to remember my line..."

Oricon: And the other way around?

Hiroshi: The other way around really isn't a problem. If it's a question of which is easier to switch to, acting is definitely the easier of the two. (laugh)

Oricon: Which do you consider to be "home" and which would be "away" for you?

Hiroshi: Even though I was "made" as an actor, I'd like to be known more as a musician. There is a part of me that wants other people to understand me and, in that sense, acting is "away" I guess. But, since I have both, I'm trying to balance the two.

Oricon: So when both Hiroshi Tamakis are become complete...

Hiroshi: I'm still only 28 now, and as my experience in music and acting increases, I'll probably be touched by a lot of different things. As I go into my 30's, I want to expand my abilities as an actor playing different types of roles and I don't want to commit myself to a genre or style of music either. I want to create an image, destroy it, and then begin working on the next challenge.

Nice statement Thumbsup
I hope he'll get more success in the future. He's really a good actor.

Ha~ i watched 1st epi of Remote and decided i will continue when i have the time. Think the show focus more on Kyoko Fukada & Dohmoto Koichi instead. Tamaki-kun's hair looks weird in it.

Thanks Shiori-chan for the tudou link, Victory! Peace! i can read chinese.
Shall start Hyouheki first since there are only 6 episodes, i shd be able to finish it within this weekend.

Mr Green Kani-chan looks like a joker~

Hmm well believe they changed their perspective after watching Nodame Cantabile~ Tamaki-kun is a walking Chiaki hehe
