Im looking forward to seeing that soon. I loved both the anime and the movie. SLow can be good. I liked Wyn-chan using the word "unwind" to describe Yasashii. No hurry there.
@Cori-I didnt realize My Boss My Hero was school based. I might have to check that out. _________________

Unwind is good!
I loved the anime - especially the beginning sequence.

Ahhhhh okay.
I have the Honey and Clover anime, and the movie. Mebbe I should watch those before I watch the drama.
Without even seeing the drama, after hearing many mixed reviews, I can assure you with a high degree of certainty that the anime is much much better than the Live Action, the theatrical release included.

True!!!...I was quite eager at first since it involved fine arts students but I only watched up to ep 2. I think (just my opinion) it's a case of miscasting...the actors playing the characters from the anime...haven't seen the movie but I heard it's better than the series.
I would recommend Dream Again with Takashi Sorimachi...Not really a must see but it's a nice drama with nice message.
I just caught "Loss Time Life". Unique show. 8 episodes, 8 separate stories each anchored by a prominent actor. It's about the main character who dies suddenly but was given 'extra time' to finish an unfinished business. The whole drama was run like a soccer match. When the character dies, the referee and linesmen come in for 'extra time'. So, it's funny and sad at the same time.
"One Missed Call" was my first jdorama after a 6-year break from watching jdorama. It's a real thriller with unexpected ending and I still haven't the guts to download that ring tone. The good thing is: there isn't any Sadako sweeping across the screen with long hair.

I saw it available for download before but didn't know anything about it. May try it out then.
Thanks for the review. :-)

I read the synopsis, review etc after the recommendation and I'm a bit skeptical. First is that, I don't quite like cop drama as I used to (maybe I watch too much CSI). Secondly, does it runs like Hero? A case to case type? It's okay if it's like Engine (because the kids and all are still there until the end) but if it's like Hero where the peoples come and go... I have to give it more thought.
Proposal Daisakusen storyline sounds like a good proposal. But runpup comment on the lead is something I have to think about. If I'm gonna get it, I need to be mentally prepared first. Coz this quote from the review "you wait the entire series to just finish the last episode and want to break something" just turn on the warning siren.
Thanks for the comments on the series I'm considering. 1 Pound Gospel goes pale. I'll get a date with Utahime I think and it'll probably be an early Christmas with Yada Akiko this time around.
@Steve:
Ah, finally someone who like Karei Naru Ichizuko. So I trust your recommendation on Orange Days. But I have to pass on Kekkon Dekinai Otoko.
@runpup & xploring:
Thanks for the link. But I'm afraid I can't download stuffs here at work. Nor can I shop online. :(
Thanks everyone. I think I got my jdrama list that'll last for quite sometime. I owe you guys one. Three for the ladies.

I think that's only because the story wasn't satisfactorily resolved for most fans by the last episode, but now that the SP is out, I read that a lot of fans are satisfied with the ending.

and it definitely made up
for the ending of the last episode ^-^
it took me forever to find in eng subs
because i didnt know it was on youtube lol
the series is pretty good
if anything i wanted to break something
in like, the 6th episode?
i just thought this drama was too long
for the type of story its telling...
ahh idk lol
its still worth watching
and its simply a beautiful story =] _________________

I apologize if this comes off as confusing, but here it goes:
It's a cop show that is not a cop show by standards, if I say so. It's less about the crimes taking place and more about the red tape and the antics of the officers of a low-end precinct has to get the job done. The main character is someone who left the sales field to become a detective for the very reason that he THOUGHT it was going to be action-packed and excitement. His discoveries of the opposite is what makes the show unique in it's own.
The show has a core cast that sticks through from beginning to end, so when things happen (no spoilers), you will be emotionally attached to scenes and incidents. I will say this: there isn't a single person I know that I've recommended this show to that DIDN'T like it.

I will admit, Prodai is not for everyone, but don't let people who hate boyband actors throw the show itself under the bus. The way you described your tastes makes it a good candidate because it does stick true to it's romance roots through and through, and has a wide enough variety of comedy and emotional moments to not be stale.
I watched the show itself from beginning to end and was very satisfied. The first episode alone should give you a good enough idea as to how the show will run, so give that a shot and if you don't like it by then, by all means stop. Yes I will admit the series did seem longer than it should have been (it could've fit in a 7-episode run really), but it didn't deter it to the point of making it unbearable. As mentioned earlier, if you don't like the ending of the original series, the SP makes up for it.
