Seriously, every time this guy was on, he made the show. I really enjoyed how he was directed.
I cracked up when Chiaki showed up at the restaurant with all that food (crab, uni, chocolate, etc.) and Mine's dad was licking his chops in anticipation, but got nothing...

I wanted him to get the crabs and uni! I love the lunch boxes and the special celebratory "pull-down" announcements.
Actually the whole Chiaki bringing back the stuff for Nodame and realizing that she had done him this amazing favor is just one of the sweetest parts of the whole series.. so much goes unsaid - brilliant! _________________

I thought no one else saw that, I like that part too, I suspect this is one of the reason why Chiaki came to realised what a special gal Nodame is, albeit at a later time, the guy's slow....

Actually Nodame hypnotized him to bring the stuff back... So it wasn't that sweet, per se.
The shopping spree was hilarious, especially the uni: Eeeeeeeeeee!!!

Sure she did... but we were talking about Chiaki's recognition throughout the following episodes that she has saved him.. even if it was against her interests (in keeping him in Japan). He may have been hypnotized to return with the goods.. but I think the extent and manner were a function of generosity. _________________

Mine: "Poor Kiyora.. I wish I was more rich..."
Chiaki should've given Mine some crabs and whatever else he bought as a token of appreciation for tagging along for the plane ride. Then Mine could've just given it to his dad and spared him from licking his chops when Chiaki rolled on over. Yes, I understand they were for Nodame, but still, Chiaki's a punk!!

Isn't it obvious: Chiaki's talented, stylish, and good-looking to all the girls... Why wouldn't he imitate him?
now that you've said it...kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
does anyone have that certain scap, the one showing the kinda bored chiaki while saiko's being all frustrated...particularly the scene where mine mistook mamoru as nodame's love.. _________________

LOL! That one was hilarious.
And what's up with 'Stresseman' and that funny way of speaking nihon? I always have difficulty listening to him speaking. When it comes to him, subtitles would be better.

LOL.. that was really funny too when i first heard him speak..he's supposed to be a german there so the way he spoke japanese had to be added some foreign accent to it.. _________________
