currently episode 3 and up is not complete yet. please wait til there are further updates through this thread for future releases.
to satisfy your gokusen needs, i suggest people watch the anime series in the meanwhile. (it has been subtitled up to episode 9 already) _________________

progress... what a wonderful thing till it's all said and done, I guess I'm just gonna have to get my hands on Trick, that should hold me off till Gokusen subbed is released.

trick would be a headache to sub.... given how they like to play with words in the whole damn series.

incidentally. I have trick.. DVD ripped no subs.
trick has actually been subbed already. it aired in Southern California with subs and all.
also trick 2 has aired also down there.
Dorakura: wow, you did a lot of translating already. anyways i PMed you about the gokusen special (i downloaded it awhile back).
keep up the good work! _________________
there are some folks here who have trick 1&2 on tape. you could probably trade with them.
Except ... I don't have a tape player. I only watch stuff on my computer.

anyway, back to gokusen...
how long does it usually take to do the timings when you have the subs ready?
You can do the timings independently, although when I do it, I normally do the script first. I don't know about Windows software, but I'm writing a subititle edit mode for emacs, and I can do rough timings in about 2X time (so if the show is 1hr, it takes me about 2hr to do the timing).

if its manual timing, boy it takes awhile, because you have to listen to each actor/actress say their line and record that down.
usually i try to avoid this and try to get the timing from elsewhere (dvd source, vcd source).
but for me it takes around the same amount of time , 2 hours roughly.
vibius: you dont have a VHS player?? whaa.... i know its ancient now, but i still have 2 of them plus a bunch of VHS tapes that i need to transfer to dvd.. _________________

BTW, I forgot to mention to you that Prince was kind enough to send me the timings to the 3rd ep. I'll be e-mailing them to you. Also, did your DVDs arrive in the mail yet? I know Japanese shipment can be really slow...

Nope, no VHS. I had one back in 1990, but I gave it and my TV to my mom after I found myself watching too much crap. That's pretty much when I stopped watching American TV altogether.
Now I only d/l stuff to watch on my computer, while I'm programming or surfing I stick mostly to Japanese shows because I want to learn another language.
I did end up getting a used TV a couple years ago, so I could watch DVDs ... but I haven't used it in a year or so.
