I know, but how often do you see a game where a starter plays almost 30 minutes and gets 0 points? Reminds of when Al Mcguire would do commentary on college basketball games. Some guy ended a game with 1 rebound and Al said, "He got one more rebound than a dead man would have" hehe

I don't think they ever try to consciously run offensive plays for Camby, since everybody's focused on trying to get the ball to their 'scorers'. The best opportunity Camby has for scoring is to get putbacks from all his teammates' missed shots. But given how the Nuggets tend to throw it up, he should be getting a ton of points from offensive putbacks.

That, or I can imagine that every time Camby gets the ball on the offensive end, he's so disoriented like a deer in headlights since he's too defense-minded. "Really guys, I'm allowed to put it in the hoop?"

He probably just ends up passing it back to the same player who shot a brick on the play.

Wow. Box score shows Hawks bench scored a total of 4 points out of the 97. Must have been some game.

From what I read, Joe Johnson went nuts, scoring 20 in the fourth quarter. Sweat

Dallas and Phoenix are bounced out of the playoffs.... Har har. Victory! Peace! w00t!

Jason Kidd and The Big Manure Pile get to watch the rest of the playoffs from the comfort of their respective homes... hehe

However, Detroit manages to regain control of their series against Philadelphia, 3-2. Sweat

Houston staves off elimination by routing Utah, 95-69, and trails 3-2.

Poetic justice I suppose. Both Shaq and JKidd complained and "dogged" their way out of their previous clubs, in Miami and NJ. Moreover, this isn't the first time that they've forced a trade before. Shake Head

With Kidd/Shaq both 35+ old and on the decline, it seems like the Mavs and Suns should be expecting some major changes (coaching, players) this summer.

Last night's Rockets' win highlights an interesting contrast between them and the Nuggets:

Both teams were generally considered the 2 worst West playoff teams. Yet, Houston is still battling on while Denver was swept. Nuggets lose with various star players (Carmelo, AI, Camby) with their "me first" 1-on-1 style of play. Rockets win a few with only 1 star (Mcgrady) while competing unselfishly.

I'm no Rockets fan, but it's nice to see a true "team". Mr Green

I wonder if Nash will demand a trade saying he wants a ring before he retires, because I think you're right, Phoenix is heading for a steep decline and I don't think he'd want to stick around for that.

You gotta give the nod to the Spurs: they're battle-tested... The Hornets don't have the playoff experience.

Bowen will put the hurt on Stojakovic. Ginobili will have a field day with whoever they put against him. I like David West's chances, but Duncan has way too much experience in the playoffs.

Is it too much to hope for Hornets/Jazz?

You can bet that Bowen will be throwing in a foot into Kobe's jump shot somewhere along the line. Shake Head

I'm expecting a running jump kick should the Lakers and Spurs meet.

As you mentioned, Bowen has a knack for throwing his foot in Shake Head

It's pretty shocking that Coach Johnson of the Mavs was fired yesterday along with Coach D'Antoni reportedly being out for the Suns. Shocked

These 2 coaches recently won COTY in '05 (DAntoni) and '06 (Avery) ... and now axed by teams that underachieved and were booted from the playoffs. A COTY jinx perhaps ....

Now, if only Phil Jackson had won COTY-2008 instead of Byron Scott. Bang Head

Those two coaches got screwed by their respective front offices: getting Jason Kidd (Mavs) and Shaq (Suns) didn't do squat for them... Talk about scapegoats. Shake Head
