I bought the boxset for Wonderful Life a while back. I really enjoyed the drama, and Eugene did well. Been a fan of her since her S.E.S. days so it was nice to see her go from singer to actress. Eugene's very pretty, but I have to say the girl who played Shinbi was adorable
Yeah Eugene was meant to be an actress. I agree that little Shinbi was really cute, she reminds me of the other little girl in the Japanese drama Hotman. Both are good little actresses.
* Song Seung Hun as Lee Dong Chul
* Yun Jung Hoon as Lee Dong Wook
* Park Hae Jin as Shin Myung Hun
* Lee Da Hae as Hye Rin
* Lee Yeon Hee as Gook Young Ran
* Han Ji Hye
* Choi Jung Won as Ji Hwan
* Jo Min Ki as Shin Tae Hwan
Pretty ironic that Song Seung Hun and Yun Jung-hoon will be costarring in a drama together, considering that YJH took SSH's part in Sad Love Story when SSH was forced to go into the army. _________________

anybody here who already watched eps of Iljimae?
Lee Jun Ki's Iljimae? I've seen episodes 1-4 with subtitles and 5-8 without. It's really good! There are some parts that drag but otherwise, I'm enjoying it. Lee Jun Ki tends to overact a little but I think in this case, the director wants him to do that.
The ratings for this show have been great. Goes to show how popular it is.
Iljimae sets the pace with 23% television rating
June 13, 2008 by [email protected]
SBS "Iljimae" starring Lee Jun Ki continues to set new records as it maintained its stranglehold over other competing shows in the Wed-Thus timeslot.
According to TNS Media Korea, episode 8 of "Iljimae' got 23.0%, smashing its previous record. It was an increase of 2.5% from its episode 7 rating of 20.5%.
In episode 8, Ryung (Lee Jun Ki) edges closer to his transformation into the legendary Iljimae. Ryung who by now has remembered everything about his past witnesses the tragic death of his sister Yeon (Son Tae Young) and decides on taking revenge for them to right their unjustly deaths.
Ryung starts learning from his father (Lee Moon Shik) the basics of being a thief, scaling walls, running for life, picking locks. Ryung tries out his skill, stealing a painting from the home of a minister but instead causes his good friend to be blamed instead. He feels guilty and decides to rescue his friend by going into the palace but meets King Yi Jong instead.
On another hand, the romance element finally is back on as Ryung is finally reunited with Eun Chae (Han Hyo Joo) under the cherry blossom tree. "Woman of the Sun" got 9.6% for episode 6 while episode 10 of "Spotlight" starring Son Ye Jin got only 10.2%, Although both saw small increases in ratings, it looks like they would be playing second fiddle from now on.

I loved Jumong! Jumong got me into historical dramas. I don't think you can compare Iljimae to Jumong since they're from different time periods and the subject matter is different as well. If you're looking for something close to Jumong, I'd recommend the Yi San. Nonetheless, Iljimae has been enjoyable so far. I'm a fan of LJK as well.
Oh, I read today that the F4 in the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango has been casted. I don't really know how I feel about this, especially since I like the Japanese version so much. It's going to be so hard not to compare the two, since Korean dramas and Japanese dramas are very different.
꽃보다 남자 (Boys Over Flowers): Kim Hyun Joong Casted as 'Rui'
From the show 'We Got Married' the ever popular SS501 member Kim Hyun Joong has been casted for the role, Rui. Boys Over Flower will be broadcasted at the beginning of next year on KBS. Kim Hyun Joong was the first F4 member to be casted.
They were thinking about Kim Hyun Joong as Rui but weren't sure. But after watching 'We Got Married' they felt that he was going to be able to portray the role of Rui well.
The rest of the F4 are almost done being casted. All of them are from idol groups. But the casting of Tsukushi is proving to be very difficult.
The story of Boys Over Flowers is a poor high school girl and her relationship with the F4.

i still prefer JDRAMAS.
honestly i love koreans but i think im getting bored to their dramas..
its really long and sometimes draggy..
And they have too many scenes where people are thinking or walking around or reminiscing and spacing out in the distance. They could knock off at least a half hour if they got rid of those type of scenes. _________________

Currently watching Wedding starring Jang Nara and some guy....
Why are Korean male leads characters so terrible...
They're either mambypamby washouts(Wedding) or complete psychos(Stairway to Heaven) ....I suppose I should watch more, but so far I'm not encouraged... _________________
