Takoyama & kirasano could really be wrong in this. Fuji TV's medical dramas have always been a hit no matter who the leads are. Look at Iryu 2, Shiroi Kyoto, Kyumei Byouto 24 Ji, all got over 20% in the first episode (with Shiroi Kyoto scoring high by consistently getting that rating with every episode, which I don't think this drama is gonna maintain). And look at Dr. Koto! Did most people even know who the lead was before that? It's Fuji TV's medical drama! It's not because of Yamapi only for sure, look at the statistics. It can definitely speak for itself!

Not too impressed by episode 1. Acting's so-so. Story is a little boring for now. The supposed "loser intern" in the show reminds me so much of George from GA. Hopefully the story becomes more interesting as it progresses and doesn't end up a poor copy of GA.

That first episode was sadly not more than I was hoping, but sort of a fun drama that I would love to watch on, as I feel like I really want to check my favolite artist 'Gakky' out.

What would you consider a hit? 20%+ average? Iryu 1 and Nurse Aoi missed that mark. I had no idea Fuji Telebi was a medical drama hit factory. Thanks for schooling me on JTV networks. On that note, I would like to educate you on Yoshioka Hidetaka (Dr. Koto). That guy has been acting since he was a kid! He is well known for his movie roles way before Dr. Koto. His acting is first rate. Didn't he win a best actor award for Dr. Koto? Plus it doesn't hurt to cast a leading lady by the name of Shibasaki Kou So yeah, a lot of people know of Yoshiokasan at least here in Japan.

As for Code Blue, one cannot deny the fact the cast has a lot to do with the premiere rating of over 20%. IMO, ep 1 doesn't warrant more than 13%. I hope this one does well and I look forward to watching tomorrow's episode.

Just as you say, we'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if this one dips below 20% later. I'd give it credit if it stays around 16-17%. The other medical drama this season is better though, IMO.

What amuses me the most is how Yamapi's fans think that the first episode's success is due to Yamapi and Yamapi alone, forgetting the other cast. It's kinda...delusional, to say the least.

I'm guessing "Tomorrow". I would say the "Tomorrow" premiere was better. We'll see how tonight's Code Blue episode does. Will report back later in a few hours. "Yottsu no Uso" also premieres tonight.

Just finished watching the 2nd episode and I thought it was average. With all the "hype" over this drama they better step it up a notch!

The helicopter emergencies so far seemed lackluster. More pain and suffering! Anyway, my favorite scene in tonight's episode was the "bra scene". Made me chuckle I hope they're not gonna do the struggle to be top flight doctor thing through each episode.

I find Asare Yosuke's character (nerdy Fuikawa Sensei) interesting. Higa Manami (Nurse Saejima) is doing a fine job too. Toda Erika wasn't bad either. Yamapi's acting in tonight's episode well.....??? Aragaki Yui, I just don't know what to think! Perhaps a love triangle is in order?

Okay I'm one of those fangirls who watched the 1st episode with Yamapi in mind, but honestly I didn't expect much of it.
But against my worries it wasn't that bad and I definitely want continue watching it.
The charas may be stereotype (and I think Asari Yousukes acting wasn't that good), they are likable nevertheless.
And of course I love Touda Erika and Aragaki Yui!
Maybe it's not outstanding but I think I'll enjoy watching it ^o^

2nd episode drops to 16%, as expected.

Just finished watching 2nd ep and it wasn't that great either...and i was hoping that the story will get better. I guess I was expecting too much from a medical drama full of idols. I don't really get what the big deal/glory is with being a flight doctor...

Frankly, I think Tomorrow is more realistic than Code Blue.

Flame/bash all you want, but i still think yamapi's acting is so overrated
