Yep, there's no denying Yamapi just sucks so far in the drama.
People will continue to watch because, thankfully, Yamapi isn't the only actor on the show, nor is his character the only one who has issues to deal with.

i never said that yamapi is a good actor [he is not but he is improving though] as for code blue, i think this is how the production wanted aizawa to be, expressionless and cocky. |
Let see, I think just because the character is supposed to be that way doesn't necessarily take Yamapi off the hook just yet. Perhaps the producers had Yamapi in mind when creating the show, and simply made the character that worked to Yamapi's strengths, which at this point seems to be a single facial expression. Perhaps the writers simply had no choice but to make the character expression and cocky. Sort of like that other dude in Last Friends, except you subtract cocky and add in psychotic.
But, I don't know for sure, since obviously I don't know what goes on behind-the-scenes. Regardless, if the character is supposed to be expressionless, I hope it doesn't go on for the rest of the series because that would be one boring character. That goes for the other three candidates as well.
I don't mind being proven wrong, with Yamapi, Aragaki and the others breaking out and delivering good acting and character development. It'll simply turn what is a boring drama so far into a good one.

The thing is, out of all of the 'pretty boys' that are out there on the scene (aside from Arashi badass Kazunari Ninomiya! ), Yamapi does have the potential to provide some range to his acting. While I can see what some people mean that his character in this show is supposed to be expressionless and cocky, it's a contradiction that is just extremely complex to pull off...and he doesn't have the ability to do it yet, it just comes off as weird.
This is one of those shows that, unlike Last Friends where you could pinpoint the issue being the writers, we've got not-too-stellar actors doing miscast roles with a poorly written script. It's not a HORRIBLE show (especially when put up against something like Lotto 6, poor Sorimachi.... ), but it needs improvement.

so am i to believe that the 16% ratings Code Blue have been receiving are because of the various casts "fandom" - because according to all the "drama critics" this drama sucks! Powerful fandoms

...WHAT?!
I agree it wasn't the worst ever, and I can see how some people may like it, but... I find it hard to believe that first episode could be that impacting.
You need to watch more dorama

I think it mainained 16% for ep3 because ep2 was pretty good... it's now fallen to 13.2%.
This is still decent, but any series that loses 1/3 of initial audience is a huge flop

Yeah, last night's showing was very average imo. Why do I have the feeling the use of "Heli" is just a gimmick? I was expecting a lot more helicopter action. Sure it's used to get them from point A to B fast but do some fancy flying etc. to make it exciting. Maybe we'll get to see the helicopter have an inflight emergency/crashing. Needs more helicopter and more cowbell!
