Just finished Hanayome wa 16-sai! (Chinese-subs only)

Heartwarming story, good script, and gritty and moving performance from Tomosaka Rie makes this light-hearted drama a definite winner. The plot can seem rather predictable, but it was engaging throughout, and the messages it put across is encouraging and full of hope. I enjoyed it very much.

I didn't recognize Yamaguchi Sayaka at all until I looked the cast list. She was very pretty. So was Hinagata Akiko. I didn't know about her before.

Around 40 episode 5, and this drama has yet to hold my interest. I don't feel like continuing...

I finished Ryokiteki na Kanojo

http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1280.htm

Well worth watching.

It's not a knock your socks off... make copies and give them to your friends... rewatch it every year as a treat... sort of show.

But I enjoyed it.

Just started Medaka. Even though I've only watched a few minutes, I think I am going to like it. I didn't know Mimura looked so kawaii, having only seen her in the profile pic of this site before.

Heh, sometimes the profile pics don't do the actor/actress justice. Sweat

Just watched Medaka episode 3

This is even better than GTO and Gokusen IMO. I am completely won over by Mimura and the character of Medaka. Partly because she is just an ordinary person, but I could really feel that she's a special character even though the drama did not try to emphasize it very much. Probably would have never found this series without rec, very glad I did. ^^

What's nice is the story involves adults rather than a bunch of uppity, over-coiffed primadonna kids.

Oh, I am when I need to be.

Besides.. I'm currently an unemployed lawyer. I haven't gotten any hours from my internship in 2 weeks.. borrowing more and more money from my family - it breaks my heart Oh Crap

Doing everything I can to find something - but these are pretty tough times. I'm going to every bar function and meeting. So far, I've gotten involved with the volunteer legal services committee and the young v. old lawyers softball game. I've gotten a few leads but nothing concrete yet, sadly.

Actually, I find some of my posts here are delightfully nuanced. Apparently, even if you're not worth it, I enjoy coming back and reading them myself Smile

Of course you're worth it. I mean, come on.. I haven't even seen an episode of Pride in nearly 2 weeks (yeah.. still only watched the first 4) yet I'm still here posting tonight, right?

Watched ep 1 of Edison no Haha The kid isn't interesting and Misaki Itoh has pretty much decided, "If I stand here and look pretty, maybe no one will notice that I can't act."
I wonder how far I'll get with this one. Shake Head

Watched a few random episodes of Audrey that I have on video tape. I wish I recorded the whole series, but I was dumb. Bang Head

Up to epi 4. It's probably not as bad as I implied, but it's a pretty safe bet it'll never make any top 10 list of mine.
