Latest rumour - theme song to be Utada Hikaru's Eternally! This is an old song originally from the Distance album but a remix version will be used instead.
The original is pretty damn good - I'm not sure about a remixed version...
A little bit more on my blog with a link to the song. ^_^

I like the original song, except for Hikki's voice in the chorus. Why does she keep writing songs that are too high for her vocal range? _________________

Remixed Utada song chosen for "Innocent Love" theme
Mon, September 29, 2008 (12:08am EDT)
Hikaru Utada will be singing the theme song for the drama series "Innocent Love," which stars popular actress Maki Horikita. This will be Utada's first song for a drama in Fuji TV's prized Monday night time slot since "Can You Keep A Secret?" for the 2001 hit "HERO."
This past spring, Utada sang the theme for the popular drama "Last Friends." That show's production staff are also working on "Innocent Love," and they decided to offer her another tie-in. But rather than requesting a new song, they chose the ballad "Eternally," originally recorded for her second album "Distance" in 2001. The producers reportedly felt that the song strongly matched the image of the drama.
Apparently, the song will use a re-edited version of the original vocal recording. It was remixed at a London recording studio to emphasize the vocals more, resulting in a new version titled "Eternally -Drama Mix-."
The song will be released digitally and as a chaku-uta, starting on the drama's premiere date of October 20. Currently, there are no plans for a CD release.

Ditto this. I love the verses, but she sounds like she's dying during the chorus.

So there's going to be a re-edited version of the vocals? Let's hope that they improve them. _________________

Those pictures make me wish it were Christmas now. Cuz then I would have a two week break!!!
Anywho, what is UP with Kashii Yuu's hair? It looks like a cosplay style. Way too young for her. And her outfit isn't that great either. Everybody else looks so classy and elegant and she just looks like a little kid. _________________

"Innocent Love" falls short of expectations
Tue, October 21, 2008 (12:38am EDT)
Viewership data for the premiere episode of Fuji TV's "Innocent Love" has been released, and the network is surely disappointed with the results. The show managed only a 16.9% rating, despite starring the popular Maki Horikita.
This is the first time since last year that Fuji TV's Monday 9:00pm time slot has not had an opener above 20%. This breaks the streak that started with "Galileo" and continued with "Bara no Nai Hanaya," "CHANGE," and "Taiyou to Umi no Kyoushitsu." Before those four shows, "Proposal Daisakusen" and "First Kiss" both debuted at over 19%.
simply... simply on love. now at ep3.. i wonder how the story will proceed.

kiyoka's presence gave me a shock. junya must be so rich to live in the house with that room specially for kiyoka. and it seems like kiyoka smiled when kanon is happily chatting with junya.

Yup, they're showing it here on channel 18 on Sunday nites, without subs, up to epi 3. Horikita does a real good Nagasawa imitation. (That should not be taken as a compliment) But it could be because this drama was written by the same person that wrote Last Friends

I watched this drama up to episode 7, and started fast forwarding after that. Too dramatic, looks like this writer starts off well, and screws up in the end.
