Gackt is still ruling the world (in his performance), even though he was overly-nasal once again.
he was good, that good for me to actually believe he's actually did a lipsync. did he?
Well, to be honest, a few parts of it was.
But let me say that it was just very little he lipsynched. Fairly over 90% was live.

His vocals are getting better again (finally! I thought the surgery had destroyed the voice I love for ever), and I really recommend listening to the last track of his newest mini-album (0079-0088), ߂肠 [Meguriai].

...as for Leah Dizon.
How the heck can she ..crow.. like that?
I think that even the little girls (AKBWhtvr) beat her in vocal.. quality.

After eliminating the commercials and newsbreak, the Kouhaku was only 4 hours long and so only takes 4 discs. I noticed Norika Fujiwara and Aoi Miyazaki were standing on the stage and introduced. both looked their usual incredible beautiful selves. They did not do anything but it does add to the glamour of the event to see them in their finery.

LOL.

surprising, so it is live.

and for Meguriai, i've listened to it. it's great Smile . especially when it comes to the "Yes my sweet, yes my sweetest. I wanna get back where you were... itoshii hito yo... mouichido.." part. <- okay i made up the lyrics Beaten but it's what i heard.

And you got it right too.
Gackt's English has seriously improved if other people actually nowadays understand what he's saying Mr Green
(All hail Yoshiki Bow )

Luckily we were spared the agony of watching the Kohaku this year. No Hello! Project and no AKB48.

edit:
My wife talked to her mom in Japan a little earlier and she also said it wasn't good this year.

I just caught a bit of it: Nakama Yukie introducing a female enka singer after one of Japan's gold medal winning softball players (who looks like a guy, BTW) tossed her a softball...

Of course I did. w00t!

It will take a while to process all the discs to see if I got a good recording. And naturally my Atsu Hime recording tomorrow has precedence in authoring. Sweat

As for the winner, I believe as usual the Whites won from my little understanding of Nihongo. There must be chauvinism with the voters since they win every year that I've watched.
AD you will like Ai chan's number. Victory! Peace!

That would Yukiko UENO (she's the one giving the #1 sign) Her fastball's been clocked at 74mph which might not seem all that fast but when you consider the distance from the mound to homeplate in softball is only about 45 feet, that's SMOKE!!

Ahhh, I'm dying for a Kouhaku torrent or disc (I don't care how bad the show is--it's fun). There's a torrent at jpopsuki but a) new users can't download anything for 32 hours, and b) it's in this .ts format so it's flipping huge--12 GB per half!

Puppy Dog Eyes

Well, I won't really have a chance to watch it till I get back home to California on the 6th (currently I'm visiting family). With luck somebody will have it up by then! Victory! Peace!

Kouhaku has yet to air in Hawaii (well, it did on a pay channel), so we're the last to get everything. =T
