Not too high on the Eagles making it to the Super Bowl, not with McNabb's 1-3 record in NFC championship games this decade. Cardinals have been great so far, and if Boldin returns watch out Eagles.

I'm hoping for a Cardinals-Ravens Super Bowl, but I don't think Baltimore has enough offense to get by Pittsburgh.

Disappointed in the way the Giants finished the season, losing 4 of their last 5 games ... this after starting 11-1. The Plaxico issue basically killed the team, no pun intended..... but they had to suspend him for the season.
I liked them taking a hard-line stance, but it looks like now they're open to bringing the douche back next season.

The two games they've played in the regular season were close ones, but after see how well the Steelers played against the Chargers I don't like the chances for the Ravens either. If McGahee (thanks for nearly derailing my fantasy season Willis!) and McClain can get a decent running attack going then perhaps, ease up on the pressure on Flacco, but I doubt it against that Steelers' defense.
However, Ed Reed can help out by taking a INT or two back for touchdowns.

Yeah, it appears their season was shot and as much as they tried to hide it, the struggles down the stretch were certainly visible.
But I can't say what happened with Plaxico is the main cause with any certainty, simply it's too easy to look back and say it with hindsight. I get kind of annoyed reading articles about how the Giants were done for once Plaxico was out...after the Giants were out of the playoffs. It'd been nice if someone had wrote that right after the suspension was handed out. I swear if the Giants had won yesterday, those same writers would have heaped praise on the Giants, about how they've managed to win without the likes of Jeremey Shockey or Burress. I just hate those kind of articles, where hindsight is a major crutch, a lame excuse to write an article.[/quote]

Yea, I understand that..... but this is what I posted in early Dec in this very thread (after a Giants win):
Quote:
Personally, I think it'll hurt them eventually in the playoffs since he WAS the best receiver on the Giants and Eli's favorite target. Too bad Burress' brain doesn't match his football ability.
I felt the same way then as I do now, but I wasn't the only one. There were others that felt a #1 receiver (Plax) could not be replaced.
Shockey, on the other hand, nobody really missed him .. even after Giants losses. I don't think Brees and the Saints missed him either.

I give you props for writing about it back then I apologize if my post came off as attacking you. It's been a little pet peeve of mine, next to lame halftime interviews with the coaches during a football game (love the insight ), whenever articles pop up offering opinions on things once the results are in, and football-related stuff is pretty bad, and that's what I wanted to comment on.

Actually I thought you were attacking me.
Seriously, Shockey is deluded in thinking he's indispensable... Which is why the G-Men sent him packing.
I'll attack you like Ed Werder putting the hurt on the Cowboys. It won't be T.O. or Pacman destroying the team. No, it'll be Ed Werder and his unnamed sources!!
Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing the Cowboys dump Owens. He's talented for sure, but he's too demanding and trying to keep him happy is only hurting the Cowboys. If that isn't bad enough, they're stuck with Roy Williams, who has less talent than Owens but just as whiny. Besides, with Marion Barber, Tashard Choice and Felix Jones, the Cowboys can get a decent run game going to help take the pressure off of Romo and not have to force the ball to Owens. Hell, if I didn't know any better (and I don't), I'd just make Witten the #1 WR.

All the more reason for him to stay with the Cowboys.
With Jerry Jones calling the shots, I wouldn't be surprised.
What I want to see is the Cowboys letting Owens go, the Saints dumping Shockey and Al Davis signing them both, and picking up Pacman as well. That would be quite the circus. If the Bay Area teams aren't going to do well, might as well be a little entertaining.

Cardinals lead the Eagles 7-3. The problem cheering for a team you haven't watched, when the Cards got their touchdown I'm saying, "Way to go number 11!!! Who the hell is that guy??"
