Just finished Code Blue recently, I would say this is one of the better Yamapi dramas around, that I had watched apart from Proposal Daisakusen. The chemistry btw the co-stars inside this show were pretty good imho, and yes it's great to see some of the veteran actors/actresses like Yanagiba Toshiro and Ryo lead the show, as they had their own side-stories in this drama series main plot.

I personally think as much as some people in this thread said that Yamapi's acting was pretty 1-dimensional, I've personally seen much worse acting than this. Furthermore, this drama wasn't only great because of Yamapi alone, but due to the effort of the whole drama's cast, so to blame this drama was a flop because of Yamapi, I would think that's quite a heavy statement given.

I was actually worried about if Yamapi, as Aizawa, would be a pretty good part in the drama before the show gets started on. But a lot of people here talked me into giving a try watching 'Code Blue' though I had then no idea where the good parts were coming from, and I totally got being into that drama. Well I so couldn't wait to see Gakky's actings as well. w00t!

This drama was not a FLOP! Flop dramas do not get Specials. Highest ratings for the summer dramas, YamaP alone could not have pulled that off - imo. Something happened to his acting along the way from Akira Kusano to Kousaku Aizawa Head Scratch

Kurosagi ( bleh imo) happened. I wanted to be impressed by YamaPi once more but Kurosagi was just too dreadful. Ken in Prodai was somewhat similar to Akira but he didn't quite manage to pull that one off too (the crying was more convincing than in Kurosagi though). Kurosagi was a juicy role but he absolutely disappoint me personally.

Code Blue definitely not a flop but no award for his acting please~

Code Blue Drama Special

Quote:
Fuji TV has announced a broadcast date for its "Code Blue" drama special. The episode is scheduled to air on January 10 at 9:00pm.

The special is a continuation of the "Code Blue" drama series from this past summer, which starred Tomohisa Yamashita, Erika Toda, Yui Aragaki, and Yosuke Asari as four young doctors training in an emergency helicopter program. The show started out with 21.2% ratings and finished with an average of 15.9%, the highest of the summer dramas.

the concept of the drama is great coz it's diff from other medical dramas shown before, introducing the heli service, but i really can't stand Yamapi's acting in there. (as always he plays some sulky serious character again!) and i hate how he always folds his hands whenever he's thinking and all...it's really really annoying to watch.

Gakki is fine in her role, not excellent, just average. I prefer Toda and the other new guy more actually. The veterans were of course great. The ending wasn't as good as i expected. The final case was a bit disappointing to me. Overall, this isn't the drama i'd be watching twice.

Yeah, the Special was just like the drama itself. I rated the drama a 6 because what we expected to happen never happened. And the SP was the same. It was cool when SpoilerA and SpoilerB happened. But the big thing never happened.

How do you make Spoiler tags?
ur asking how to do it or u telling some to do it? Head Scratch

oh ok i guess u will not miss much it if u didn't see the sp
but thewn again u will knw how it ends if u don't right

I really like this drama! I finished watching it twice and would watch it again! I originally watched it because Yamapi was in it, but I ended up liking all of the characters in the drama. I think this was a much more mature drama for Yamapi, so I am sure some people were thrown off by it. But I certainly think they all did a good job. ^_^
