Yah, will do. Victory! Peace! It might be a tiny while, as I'm moving in less than a week and my mind's everywhere. Sweat

I'm a fan of the brilliant green and the others I like, but not enough to call myself a fan. Puffy, I'm not too fond of. I mean, they have a few older songs that I like ("Kore ga watashi no ikiru michi" is all I can think of at the moment), but I haven't heard anything recently that I like.

Anyway, has anyone heard of Superfly? She's such an awesome, powerful singer and the music is more on the 60s/70s rock side. Reminds me a bit of Love Psychedelico. You guys have to check her songs out. She also does a great live. Too bad she didn't have a live of Stevie Nick's "Rhiannon" song because that's one of the best covers I've heard.

Here you go! I'm not sure if you'll like these artists, but I'm not too familiar with many male singers in this category. Oh, you might want to download the HI-D song "Got 2 Go" in the above links because it might fit in with what you're looking for. Smile

DL
ISSA - Sweet Surrender, Going Down Into You, Get Back My Soul (more on the rock side, but I had to include this to show his versatility from his DA PUMP stuff)

DL
Mazda Ryozy - Yokan, Scramble

DL
Ryohei/Yamamoto Ryohei - Can't You See?, Game We Played

Could you upload Mazda Ryozy songs again? Onegai?

I uploaded a couple of UA guest songs for someone on Megaupload. As there appears to be no way to now delete them, maybe some Jdorama folk might like to grab them -

UA's voice, while always clear, sounds to me especially so on this track. I want to know what she's singing (hint to Sadacori - yes! I've spotted you!). Mr Green
Harry Hosono & The World Shyness - Yume-Miru Yaku-Soku

I am currently uploading a huge batch of my favorite Japanese songs, 15+ from each year since 1993, and couple of songs from before.

I have hand-picked all of them, and I especially recommend older songs and from lesser known artists (since they often are one hit wonders with awesome songs)

Soulja - Koko ni Iru yo ft. Thelma Aoyama
Thelma Aoyama - Soba ni Iru Ne ft. Soulja

Pretty much similar to each other but both are great songs ^____^

I highly suggest 2 hitomi's
Hitomi Yaida (Yaiko)- Her stlyes vary- rock to pop, some slow. etc. writes her own songs and plays many instruments

hitomi Dancing - As you can tell by the picture, l I am a huge fan, really anything by her is good. She goes from pop to rock to dance. She's been a bit quiet as of late, just had a baby, I'm a very active member of the
hitomilove fan site, go ther if you want to check some of her music!

Also good- Brilliant Green, Nanase Aikawa, Pizzicato Five, Zone, Shiina Ringo I'd also like to hear about some new artists, it's getting harder to find them. Bang Head

Any suggestions for male singer/bands with R&B / Acoustic / Pop vibes?

I personally like EXILE, La Chryma Christi, Dir En Grey.
But looking for a bit different style now.

Any input would be great.

Going through my iPod... I recommend:

Shimizu Shota
Tanaka Roma
Urata Naoya (he's an AAA member)
Kirai Hen (oops, I meant Hirai Ken)
Miura Daichi (more on the dance pop R&B side)
DA PUMP (more on the poppy side)
ISSA (he's a member of DA PUMP, but his solo songs are really good too and music's diverse)
Hi-D
Yamamoto Ryohei / Ryohei
Wada Masaya

Glad you like Shimizu Shota. I think he's great. Smile Tanaka Roma, I love his voice. Urata Naoya's self-titled album was pretty good. Try downloading that if you can find it.

Try Hirai Ken's "The Changing Same" album and maybe "gaining through losing." Those were on the R&B side. I'm not fond of most of his other songs and albums.
