I have finally finished the 1993 version of Kou Kou Kyoushi. It's interesting to compare it with the 2003 version, in someways it's better (not a single non-acting pretty boy in sight) and in others worse (no Ueto Aya). The 1993 version is just as dark and shocking but much more subtle and measured. Apparently it was very controversial at the time, and it's easy to see why.
I'm working my way through the writer Nojima Shinji's dramas at the moment, and I really want to see Kono yo no Hate next (I think it's been subbed), but I can't locate it anywhere, ho hum. I'll just have to make do with the currently airing Love Shuffle.

Just watched epi 1 of Tomorrowhttp://www.jdorama.com/drama.1329.htm on Channel 44. I've developed an aversion to medical dramas, but Yutaka and Miho Kanno will hopefully be able to keep me interested.

I was a little worried about another typical kill the star medical depression trauma drama but decided to watch for Kanno Miho. Glad I did now. It looks like it will be a strong against the weak thing. I had d/l it from http://community.livejournal.com/jdramas/2283589.html. After seeing it on KXLA I will keep d/l it since that format is 16/9 widescreen which looks best on my DTV although the bitstream is not up to my usual standards. (Why do people want to degrade good quality in this day and age when DVDs are so cheap; bah rhetorical question but I'll listen to any valuable insight.)

Cheers, I'll have a look, as I've tried various livejournal communities without sucess. It's described on d-addicts as the darkest Japanese drama ever made, so I really want to try it out.
On topic: Watched the 3rd episode of Ame to Yume no Ato ni. So far it has more of a traditional ghost story/horror feel to it that I though it would have, although I have a feeling things are going to get a lot more sentemental before it finishes.
Wyn-chan-here is my feelings on the TO HEart unusualness.

It does make sense. When he used her to forgot his own problems, and she ended up expressing her feelings to him, I think she redeemed herself in my eyes. She isn't creepy... just really enamored with him. And I think at this point (only epi 3 done) I'm more sympathetic towards Toko.

It's definitely there, i'm downloading it now. Don't expect a great video quality, though, since it's early 90's. The video files are ~350MB each.

Definitely true. I was depressed for days after watching that drama, still I really enjoyed it in a weird way. Highly recommended if you like that sort of drama (which I do).

Quite the physical relationship the two of them have going with each other. A lot of shoulder and chest bumping. I wonder if Miwako is jealous?
Haha, it's so hilarious when they do that. And their name calling too! Did you see the one where he called him"Kamejama"? _________________
