yay! just finished! btw, i want to thank the people here who somehow convinced me to watch this again. Just like what ProtoMMC said, its a treasure and its one my current faves now
Anyway, ive seen rise and fall of school drama but this one is just the right flavor. Deliquents, a teacher screaming at the top of his lungs full of words of wisdom, occasional beating and hitting, too much foul words, absurd situations which lead to a grand end. This is the school drama that never fails, glad i watched it.
Rookies SP this coming Fall and Rookies Movie is Spring 2009 -- i'll wait!!

altho i'm not really into sports dramas...especially baseball...i'm going to watch this because i'm a big fan of Ryuta Sato. i just find him so attractive and obviously he's a good actor...in my opinion neways.

I'm glad you had a change of heart. I personally like H2 better when it comes to baseball dorama however, this one was good enough to continue watching. The theme song by GReeeeN was very popular too.

======ROOKIES is the best!!!! =========
Seen other school dramas, dont think Rookies is a "rehash,
knock off, travesty, etc." Do admit it got bad towards the
end but the last episode made me look back and sing
"ashita kyo yori mo suki ni nareru..."
To me the acting of kawato was just right compared to the
dryness in another school drama i choose not2mention,
given that at first, kawato remined me of an annoying
babbling idiot, i thought uggh...another fake idealogue
But lo and behold I look back and applaud
Its a miracle! kiseki!

another great drama!!!
at first i thought it just a drama about baseball but i didn't know the concept is like GTO
i love this drama so much.. all the casts played really well..
and aniya is handsome too

This is a very good dorama, all the characters were well portraied(with the exception of Aniya), Ichihara Hayato is a good actor but he don�Lt resemble Aniya at all.
But the one that impressed me the most was Sato Ryuta as Kawato, very good acting indeed.
I hope we get to see Akaboshi in the movie, it�Ls my favorite character

I like this drama tooo...
not another average school drama thing....
a big thumbsup for Ichihara Hayato an Sato Ryuta...
bit different than the original manga,,,but I still like it...
