ang ibig kong sabihin, yung nabibili na, vcd or dvd copy na tagalized...
gokusen 1& 2, hana kimi at hana yori dango 1&2, beautiful life, love evolution ba yun???, summer snow... nakalimutan ko na yung iba tapos yung sa ABS-CBN pa... _________________
Huli ako nakakita na tagalized na vcd or dvd 4 years ago, yung Amazing Twins ng Viva at Eternity: A Chinese Ghost Story ng Star Records, tapos wala na...

i think both HYD 1 and 2 did well in terms of ratings.
i don't think the pirates of carriedo sell the tagalized jdramas; tagalized kdramas (recorded from broadcast) pa lang napansin ko doon.
marami-rami na rin naipalabas na tagalized, lalo na sa QTV, yung mga kay Takuya andun, sa GMA yung mga Gokusen at HYD. Sa ABS they aired commercials for SOS but didn't push thru with the airing.
I think dubbing helps the series to be, somehow, localized. If the viewing masses are to be considered, they are not as interested in the Japanese culture as we are, so by dubbing the series some dialogues may be altered to fit the Filipino interests. _________________

I guess, I do kind of understand the dubbing. It's a matter of perspective I guess. And for network executives, the bottom line is always the ratings.

Thanks for the info, actually, I have it on my "to watch" spindle. My cousin told me na super ganda daw ng drama. Eh kaso, di ko feel mag-emote right now, kaya puro comedy pinapanood ko. Hehehe.
