View topic - The Quiz Show

So, as the show draws toa near, I decided to piece together the events presented to us through the clues dropped among the past seven episodes.

Eight years ago, 2002:
- Misaki, Honma, and Kamiyama are friends and seniors in High School
- Misaki invites Kamiyama and Honma to Shinai Lake for a camping trip
- They go on the trip. Set up camp at Shinai Lake
- Misaki and Kamiyama are having drinks by the riverbed, and met Andou
- Kamiyama and Misaki are fishing by the river side and run into Mika, who introduces herself
- Kamiyama goes off to collect firewood for the campfire and runs into a drunk Kenji Miyamoto
- Honma goes off to speak with Andou, as Misaki and Kamiyama sit by the fire they made. Noriko (Yuutenji Nokko) gives them a plate of food.
- Kamiyama and Misaki make curry for dinner and meet Katsuragi that give them curry sauce

The next day - Misaki's death, 2002:
- Misaki and Kamiyama make breakfast
- Kamiyama and Misaki decide to take an aerial tour of the island, Shibata is the pilot and its on the plane Egypt 20-3
- Kamiyama runs to call Honma to remind them of the trip, but they can't contact him.
- Misaki and Kamiyama ride instead, leaving Honma behind, and the plane crashes due to engine failure
- The weather is bad and it starts to rain, Kamiyama swims to shore and finds Misaki's body
- Honma discovers the two, Kamiyama loses his memory due to traumatic shock of the affair
- Saejima runs to them while filming letting them know emergency aid is on the way

Between 2003 - 2008:
- Honma enters Galaxy TV
- The Quiz Show is in planning and is presented to the company president by Yamanobe Kengo

2008:
- The Quiz Show begins late night, not live.
- Tazaki is the host, Yamanobe is the MC, Honma serves as AD
- The Quiz Show suddenly is canceled due to the "Yamanobe Incident"
- Honma gets an idea for his revenge from the affair

2009:
- Kamiyama suddenly wakes up
- Honma takes Kamiyama to the aslyum where Yamanobe once kept Tazaki.
- The Quiz Show Golden suddnely goes into pre-production planning
- Saejima becomes a Producer, Honma is promoted to Director for the show
- Honma pitches to the higher ups to have Kamiyama as MC and its approved without question

2010:
- The Quiz Show Golden premieres, live, and the highest ratings in station history
- Rumors on the internet start talking about the Yamanobe Incident, people start to suspect something of the same to happen again
- Yamanobe returns
- Saejima is fired

Of course this is all speculation given the information presented on the show thus far. The Quiz Show Golden takes place 2 years after the first season, the first season was set in 2008, so in actuality The Quiz Show Golden is taking place in 2010 rather than 2009.

Honma has to be the true enigma of the show in my opinion. We already know about Kamiyama, but nothing about Honma except the rumors that are dropped among the staff. Is Honma truly related to an station executive? What did Saejima do that gave Honma the opportunity to join Galaxy TV?

When reading online on the Japanese side of fandom, they pointed out something interesting. Shibata's plane was called Egypt 20-3 -- Moses lead the Jews from slavery in Egypt in Exodus, the Ten Commandments are listed in Exodus 20:3

Which then leads fandom on the moon the believe that this season is not based upon the seven deadly sins but in fact is based upon the 10 Commandments. And this makes sense because in episode 6, Honma looks through the contestants and calls out Katsuragi's "commandment".

Thou Shall Not Kill - Andou (He killed his friend)
You Shall Not Make Yourself an Idol: Mika (She became an idol to young girls everywhere)
You Shall Not Steal: Miyamoto (He stole from the old)
You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me: Yuutenji Nokko (She acted like a god, playing with people's lives)
You Shall Not Use God's Name in Vain: Tomobe (He ran around claiming he had the hands of God)
You Should Honor Your Parents: Katsuragi (He abused his mother)
You Shall Not Bear False Witness Against Your Neighbor: Shibata (He was falsely accused of causing an accident)

So the only ones we have left are

Remember the Sabbath, Do Not Commit Adultery, and Do Not Steal You Shall Not Covet Your Neighbor's Wife (thanks jilann!)... Which means Saejima, Honma, and Kamiyama will probably be sitting in the hot seat.
