Watching Buzzer Beat ep 3. Yamapi is as wooden as ever but Aibu Saki's character is kinda funny how she switches to "bad" girl by lighting a cigarette...

YamaPi was average... not as bad as I expected, but not completely unwatchable. There had to be someone to make Morita Go look like an actor
"not completely unwatchable" = Yay, at least you didn't write him off altogether. That's a promising start! Baby steps... baby steps...
Ahhh, Morita Go, always good for a laugh... *wipes away tear* It shocked the bejibbers out of me to learn that this dude actually has, like, a frikkin' career in J-Ent (and his own Jdorama.com profile, too!). I honestly thought he was just some glue-sniffing, peroxide-haired bum the LUNCH QUEEN casting director picked up on the streets, eating out of a week-old instant-noodle styrofoam bowl. Casting Director rolls down the tinted window of his SUV and goes, "Oy! You there, with the moldy ramen! How'd you like to be filmed JUST BEING YOURSELF for 10 working days? You don't have to change a THING about your appearance, come as you are! And how's this for compensation? Straight from the noodle factory!" Casting Director opens the door of his SUV and kicks out a big box of instant ramen. Morita Go pumps a grubby fist in the air and rasps, "Pay dirt, baby! When do I start?" And the rest, unfortunately, is Jdorama history.

I wanted Natsumi and Jun-kun to end up together... he was the only decent one of the bunch

"Decent" = You mean the actor, or the character? Oh, c'mon, Yujiro wasn't too shabby, ehh? (Eguchi Yosuke = ) But I was kind of expecting Natsumi to end up with him, because he was so mean to her at first (and Meanie usually gets the Girl, as the rom-com curve goes), and their story arc (particularly in the second half of the drama) seemed to lead up to her finally choosing him, but in the last few episodes, I was so torn, lol. And I didn't think I could bear to see that sweet, sweet boy Junzaburo get his heart broken, if Natsumi chose Yujiro. I wanted to hug him so bad! (Well, not *just* hug him... ) So, I guess the open ending worked for me, as well. Oh, screw it, either way would've been fine with me, heehee.
ON-TOPIC:
HOTARU NO HIKARI Episode 4. How do you say "I'm loving this!" in six different languages? Ahhh, Amemiya Hotaru, a girl after my own heart... I swear on my four cats (hahahaha), if she doesn't end up with Buchoo, I will personally swim over to Japan and wring the neck of that scriptwriter. Or is this manga-based? Then I will personally swim over to Japan and wring the neck of that manga writer.
(Arghhhh, Fujiki Naohito, you're so hot! Why are you the way you are??? Why? WHY??? Huhuhu... *sobs into ratty old T-shirt* One of the few classically handsome J-actors I've evah seen--and classically handsome J-actors are so few, you can literally count them on one hand. (And, noooo Kimura, you ain't one of 'em, sorry!) When Buchoo sits on the porch in his house clothes and his straight, skinny legs are showing, I lose it. MOAR!!!! MOARRRR!!!!! "Please, God, Give Us More Fujiki Naohito Dramas!!!" Hahahahahaha)
And honestly, could this drama have pulled off a bigger Casting FAIL!!!! with Kato Kazuki as Teshima????? It isn't even that he's annoying or anything, he's just this great. big. NOTHING, an absolute nonentity that you tend to forget after 4.3 seconds is still in the scene with the other characters. Not believable as a young, upcoming designer that his character is, not believable as an actor, not even believable as a person, lol. You can't even treat someone like him as talentless eye candy (so what then--"eye garbage"? lolz), when you can't even remember what he frikkin' looks like as soon as he's out of camera range. He's just. So. Blaahhhhhh....... But when he's WITHIN camera range, I can just feel my brain cells mewling piteously in their death throes before expiring en masse. I SWEAR, if he bags the girl, I will do as I earlier promised... Then I shall swim home, curl up on my veranda, and mewl piteously myself before dying amid my dirty laundry and my two raggedy old stuffed dolphins.

The thing is, he's completely fine in the Kuitan series. (I think I said that already ) I don't know if he got better, or if he was more realistic about what he could do, or the casting director (see above) remembered said scrawny actor from "Lunch no Joou" and thought "Ah, Morita Go, ideal scrawny/not too bright sidekick!" .. or what.
PS Having a JDorama spotlight isn't a sign he's a good actor... YamaPlank and Tackey have one too, after all, and so does Matsu(insert wood reference here).

Both. I thought Yu-ni the character was a bit of a pain... oh, maybe not, but Eguchi Yosuke was threatening YamaPlank in the woodenness stakes at times (more timber references lol, but I bet you "saw" that ) I'm not really the target audience for these good-looking JDrama guys anyway lol.

Just watched eps 6-11 of Voice
I really enjoyed the series though it made me cry... a lot ^^;;; I think Episode 8 made me cry the most, it made me cry happy and sad XD
Anyway I thought it was a really good series, really enjoyed it, it's just my eyes are a little sore now
Loved the acting all around, thought everyone did a good job, I'd love it if they made an sp or something for it now _________________

Watched eps 1-3 of CHANGE when it came out I was tempted to watch it, but I read the description and thought I wouldn't be interested, but it's actually ok. I love Asakura's "Natural" hair and how if anyone's not seen him when he's not suited up they think he's had an explosion on his head XD
I am really looking forwards to watching MW Dai-0-Sho and Walkin' Butterfuly... I am however gonna have to watch both without subtitles as I can't find either, so I am gonna have to crank up the volume and use all the Japanese skills I learned at Uni so far XD.
I am looking forwards to Walkin' Butterfly cos it looks so cute I am looking forwards to MW Dai-0-Sho because I'm gonna be honest... Tamaki Hiroshi is looking darned hot as a bad guy! HAHA I'm sure it will be great anyway _________________
This is one of those classic old TBS Romance/Comedy/workplace dramas, with a cast that bulges with big time talent.
Part of the fun is that the director is letting Karasawa show what a trained dancer can do with physical comedy. And Karasawa and Kiki Kirin (playing Son and Mother in this show) are basically doing an old time vaudeville comedy double act every time they are on screen together.
Funny thing about this show. I just finished watching Kimura in Mr. Brain, and one of the jokes from the 14 year old "Kagayake Rintaro" is that dear old Mom loves to dance along with SMAP on TV. _________________

This drama was so good that I recorded it on tape! I vaguely remember the song? dance? was very funny. I love the Son and Mom and of course his Boss! And his Mom always forgot his Boss' name. It's a pity that I didn't get to watch in Japanese but subbed in Chinese instead.
