Just back from the Toyota Europe annual Ekiden to support my best friend who had to run. I admit I only went for the food and to hear some Japanese.

The event is not open to public and itLs fun to see vice presidents and senior manager get sweaty! rofl

Thanks for the advice. Victory! Peace!

Apparently all side-by-sides nowadays have ice and water dispensers... Which I don't need. Sad

And bottom-freezer fridges are really expensive: over $1000.

Which leaves me with the only choice of buying a top-freezer model. Sad

I bought my side-by side in 2007 and it doesn't have an ice and water dispenser, which in my opinion takes up too much space on the freezer door. Check with Consumer Reports to see which mfg and model are the best. Fingers crossed

Yup, I have the CR magazine...A little hard to find the models that they've tested/recommended. Sweat

My fridge is almost 20 years old and has gotten noisier over the past year or so, so I figure now's the time... And supposedly the government is offering a similar "cash for clunkers" deal with fridges very soon... Fingers crossed

Oh yeah I recently read about the appliance 'cash for clunkers.' My fridge was almost 20 years old too. I hope you find the best model for you! Victory! Peace!
