I continued watching for shibasaki kou, but I'm finding Mr brain more entertaining. I don't really perceive it as a galileo clone, but a lot of mr brain is over done..
Galileo 8-10... finished.
Some of the stories were quite interesting, but I kept getting sleepy while watching. Not a good sign. I probably would have stopped watching if Shibasaki Kou wasn't in there..
I'm making my way through Galileo right now too, and am up to episode 8. It's been pretty slow going though, since it's not one of those shows that hook you. Not bad, and okay to watch an episoide here and there once, but not something I'm all that invested in or would watch again.
Honestly, it feels a bit too much like it wasn't made so much for me, but rather for all those enamoured Fukuyama Masaharu fans who are already convinced he's the perfect man, and who'll nod along dreamily and go "yappari!" at all the scenes of him excelling at everyhing from sports to cooking to solving mysteries the police are too stupid to figure out. Not that I actually dislike Fukuyama, but based on what I've seen of him (just this drama and Hitotsu Yane no Shita, so not too much to go on there, I admit) he's kind of like this drama - okay, not too bad, but lacking that extra something to grab my attention.
As for Shibasaki Kou, I'm liking her well enough, and liked her all right in Yume no California, the only other drama of hers that I've seen. So I'm concidering picking up Orange Days after I finish this. I watched the first episode at some point, but didn't think it seemed all that interesting and kind of forgot about it. But I keep hearing good things about it though so maybe I'll give it another go.
Kou doesn't have a major role in this, but for some reason she scared the sh*t out me everytime she was on screen. This is also Kimtaku's best drama IMHO.

Mark, thanks! Can't go wrong with takuaya and kou together! Will check this out soon.

LOL.
I never got sleepy, but got a little tired of the crime solving "revelation" gimmick.... Talk about beating a dead horse... No offense, Evie.
It so could have done without that. Agreed.
On Topic: Finished ep 5 of Bara no nai Hanaya. So far, it's just sufficiently cheesy enough to be a jdrama and just as ensnaring And yes, I was right, Takeuchi is still delicious. _________________

Most definitely.
Each "Chapter" (five total) is only about 30 minutes.
And like the actress herself, each episode is quirky in it's own way.
Now I know your exacting standards are extreme.. would I be satisfied with the d-addicts or other available encode or should I solicit one from my Juri mentor? _________________

The D-Addicts versions of each chapter are available in 720p AND 1080p.
