Not likely. It was professional (NHL) hockey and its fans that turned me off to watching years ago... too vicious on the ice and in the stands. One of the more terrifying experiences I've had was being at an NHL game. With the more strict international rules applied in the Games, I'm enjoying it. It's like boxing... I much prefer amateur/Olympic bouts where it's about scoring points, not sending the opponent into oblivion. bleh

Don't bet on it.

After the U.S. beat the USSR in 1980 and won the gold, I didn't watch any more hockey than I did before, which was zero...

I was NOT expecting Canada to be up 4-1 heading into the 1st intermission. w00t!

Can't count out the Russians just yet. They have the firepower to get back into this.

I don't know... I'm now beginning to think I should start cheering on the Russians just to have a game. Head Scratch

Of course, just as I was writing this the Russians scored. LOL

Wow the ladies bob-sledders are eating it tonight. Sweat

But Canada is leading now. Victory! Peace! Hope they hold it. Fingers crossed

Can not wait to see the ladies Free Skating program. Big Grin
Last night was loaded with marvelous Olympic performances. Those girls really stepped up to the plate under pressure. What inspiring rounds! Applaud THe men I thought were rather disappointing for that.

The South Korean girl had the all time highest score in a short program! w00t! And personal bests abounded.

It's great to see Lydia Lassila winning Australia's second gold medal tonight. The things these people had to go through are incredible.

And I was awed by the extremely high standard of competition in the women's freestyle aerials. They were pulling off spectacular jumps one after another. The jumps by the Chinese girls in second and third place could possibly have won gold in another olympics.

I seem to have completely lost interest in the Olympics this week... Maybe because I've been watching JIN?

Really??? Well if you are going to start watching again, tonight is the night! w00t! The women's free skate (long program) finals in figure skating should be exciting to see. There are so many talented and beautiful women's figure skaters. Applaud Plus many of the top skating athletes, in this event, are Asian beauties. Wink Big Grin
