Just of the top of my head,

Iguana no Musume

Ii Hito

and

Watshitachi no Kyokasho

The first two are from the late '90s when Kanno was just starting out and you could see even then she had the stuff. Although Ii Hito is more a vehicle for Kusanagi and Kanno has more of a supporting role, it's still one of my favorites!

Thanks!

My favorites have to be:

Churasan: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Churasan She's one of the supporting players, but she was my favorite part of the show.

"Ai No Uta": http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Ai_no_Uta

And thank you!

And though I absolutely, positively promised myself I'd wait until I had all of Fumo Chitai http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Fumo_Chitai recorded, and the subs in place, before I started watching again...

I gobbled up episodes 10 - 12.

I'll tell you... it's got a bit more melodrama in it than I normally care for. And on the surface, the story telling seems a bit shallow and inelegant.

But the episodes flick by in a heart beat. And at the end of each I reallllly want to move on to the next episode to see what happens.

Me too. Although the whole subplot involving Koyuki is more a distraction than anything else.

I don't know about that.

We're talking about a new era. The birth of the "New" Japan.

Finished Densetsu no Kyoushi. The second half didn't live up to the promise of the first half for me, and the transformations the main characters went through did not get across very well, but still an entertaining series. The best parts were Jiro mouthing off but that kind of tapered off as the series went on.

Just started Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai

Very interesting and original premise. Excited about how this will turn out.

I've finished the regular episodes of Keizoku (there's still the SP and movie to go). A very odd one this, the first 2/3rds are very similar to Trick where rather implausible mysteries are solved in a semi-lighthearted way. Then suddenly it turns into a different show, very dark, shocking and compelling (though equally as implausible). And it all works very well. Things such as the odd camera angels and asides which where where originally quirky suddenly become disturbing. The whole thing is just a little strange.

I thought Nakatani Miki was very good in the lead so I think I'll watch JIN once I've fully completed it.

Over the weekend, I watched all 9 episodes of Liar Game 2, in my opinion, about the same as the first season, no big changes. I still love Erika Toda I'm looking forward to the movie conclusion, just so I can have closure.

But...

More than one episode.

OT: Jikou Keisatsu ep. 8. Yep, very familiar guests this episode :-) And totally crazy random things happening.

I started Oh Oku The War of the Belles last night,

http://www.jdorama.com/drama.958.htm

and I think I set a personal record here. I got half way through the first episode, turned it off... pulled out the disc... and put the series in the coaster pile.

I'm a big fan of Uchiyama Rina's, but no smile is pretty enough to get me to sit through that kind of drivel.
