I have a room that I am waiting to furnish. After I get everything situated I'll contemplate where I want to hang it. Things are a bit of a mess at the moment.

Seriously. Given the fact the Takehisa was Japanese I thought his subjects were truly unusual and avant-garde.

I can't profess to have an historical knowledge of Japanese or Chinese art. I bought this reproduction after stumbling upon the work unexpectedly while surfing the internet. I had a guest room painted recently so I wanted to throw some art up on the walls.

A really longtime childhood friend of mine has taken up painting up, mostly abstract art, and has exposed more fully to art in general. So it's broadened my horizons I guess.

I also recently bought the following print from this Japanese-American artist named Audrey Kawasaki:
