Boxing up stuff and moving furniture is no fun. One of my rooms looks like a barn or warehouse one might see on American Pickers of The History Channel. Hehe.

Hazukashii. It's too embarrassing Wink hehe

But I will show you a picture of this reproduction I ordered of a famous Takehisa Yumeji painting. It's a giclee print of his Mistress of Kurofuneya.

Check it out, 'racer:

I have a room that I am waiting to furnish. After I get everything situated I'll contemplate where I want to hang it. Things are a bit of a mess at the moment. Bonk

She's lovely, Tu.
Rare to see a cat and pose like that.

I like the unusualness of his subjects. Not surprising he was not appreciated in his day. The lot of artists. Shake Head

Seriously. Given the fact the Takehisa was Japanese I thought his subjects were truly unusual and avant-garde.

I definitely can't understand how my roommates are hooked on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Sweat Sweat

At school they talk about it, at home they youtube videos as well as play the games for hours.

I'm beginning to miss those days where they own me pretty badly in Smash Bros. Brawl. Least with that game we all played it together.

I feel for you, man. All my cousins and guy friends are into that. I'll stick with my RPGs, thankyouverymuch.

Sucks that you're excluded though. You should pull the plug on them. Wink

O wow! Lovely pic there, Toshi-kun! The modern stuff coming out of Japan (not sure how old this work is - early 1900s?) is absolutely amazing. Mind you, I'm not at all a fan of ancient Japanese painting. I prefer the Chinese painting. But this piece is stunning. From the wiki page, I must say I'm partial to this one:

Oh yeah that is really nice too. Victory! Peace!

I can't profess to have an historical knowledge of Japanese or Chinese art. I bought this reproduction after stumbling upon the work unexpectedly while surfing the internet. I had a guest room painted recently so I wanted to throw some art up on the walls.

A really longtime childhood friend of mine has taken up painting up, mostly abstract art, and has exposed more fully to art in general. So it's broadened my horizons I guess.

I also recently bought the following print from this Japanese-American artist named Audrey Kawasaki:

Hopefully you don't have to go....

Man, I wish I had more time! I can't even keep up with these boards. I think it's why I fall off the radar forever.
