Seventy years since the Battle of Britain...

Winston Churchill quote....

"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."

Hurricanes, Spitfires and Beaufighters.

Around 500plus RAF pilots lost and a few thousand Luftwaffe pilots lost.

Shake Head Shake Head Shake Head Shake Head Shake Head

although you never know. He did marry and had a daughter I think.

When Field Marshall Montgomery said to Churchill: "I neither drink nor smoke and am a hundred percent fit", Churchill's reply was: "I drink and smoke and I am two hundred percent fit."

Staggering the actual number of them so widely in use.

Perhaps the most quoted ever after Plato perhaps or maybe Pierrot. hehe

Can't get away from the Pantasia allusions tonight. Wink
