Thanks for the heads up! Victory! Peace!

Saw the first half of Episode 1 on YouTube... Rather soap opera-ish, but I can only judge on what I saw, not what I heard/read, since there were no English subs. Sweat

It was funny to hear Eita's character call Juri-chan's character "weird" (hen na)... I had a Nodame flashback. hehe

Bookmark the bookmarklet found on kitagawa-keiko.org, go back to that ratings page, run the bookmarklet, and presto!:

(Mouse pointer included to show a popup.)
If you rename the bookmarklet then you can even forget where it's served from. Sad

Whoa. Ueto Aya's new drama pulling in 18% while Juri/Eita team + Jaejoong, Megumi, Tetsuji (not to mention Kitagawa Eriko) only gets a little over 11%?! Not to dismiss Aya but this surprises me.

yeah, that is really surprising.
i thought, at least, more tohoshinki fans would watch it for jaejoong...
i watched the first episode of ueto aya's new drama, and it wasn't as good as this one.
maybe people are just superficial and want to watch ueto aya because she's cute or whatever... Sweat

Huh, I thought the first episode of Zettai Reido was better.

Just a wild guess since I havenLt seen neither but I have observed that cop shows do generally well in the ratings and I think Sunao canLt attract a big chunk of the audience (older people, people not familiar with new media) because of the LmodernLtheme - for example my mum wouldnLt understand the synopsis since she doesnLt know what Twitter is.

Then again it could be that people are still in shock after Last Friends hehe .

I think if you look at Ueto Aya's past dramas, it's pretty clear that she doesn't have a lot of star power rating-wise. In fact almost the opposite.
I also find Zettai Reido's first episode to be very good, but IMHO, it's more to do with the writing, story-telling and production rather than the cast or the lead(s).

I haven't watch both dramas yet, but I agree on Esther, maybe the Twitter thing doesn't attract much older audience since they didn't understand that at all... and as to aya chan's drama rating... I am honestly surprised too not just that I'm expecting it to be low but the other dramas were a bit low in terms of rating... I'm also expecting a 15+ rate in Juri's drama since she's super popular at the moment (the nodame movie victory) Big Grin and Jaejoong's appearance too...and I don't think people just watch ZR cos of her cuteness... (you might not believe my words since I'm a fan) but then I like Juri too so I'm hoping the rate for the next episode would be better Mr Green

yep.. i agreed on that too.. nothing to do with the cast.. think without Ueto or whoever, Reido will still be good.
but i thought Sunao was good too... but probably it is considered a human-drama kinda theme (compared to detective-themed drama in the former)...so not too many audience will understand theme like that, as it is not so mainstream. it could be abit depressing watching such dramas...

Sunao's airing coincided with ARASHI's show, if I'm not mistaken?!

DBSK vs Arashi. LOL
